Features :
3 Single coil pickups bought when I was on holiday recently in Hong Kong.

Instrument :
Homebuilt Ash Strat with Maple neck/Rosewood fingerboard
Full set fitted that replaced a set of Kent Armstrong STV1 pickups
Thought they would sound better than the Kent Armstrongs but very little difference so obviously the KA's are very good.. Maybe a little more clarity and harmonic overtones.

Sound : 9
Similar output level and not as good sounding, a bit muddy with too many overtones untill I lowered the pickups and it now sounds great. Im using these through a Vox AD50VT Valvetronix. Like someone else mentioned they sound like you are using a reverb effect with straight amp sound. Tone is fairly balanced and not bassy as the name suggests. Im not so sure about distortion using the bridge pickup. I think the Kent Armstrongs was better.
I play in a Christian worship team at my church and also love the blues, and old school rock. They work well for my worship playing as most is played with a clean sound although I use a Blues Overdrive for lead riffs etc. Works well in all pickup positions.

Overall Rating : 8
I would try the Custom shop 69's or throw back in the Kent Armstrongs. i was dissapointed the pickups dont have Fender stamped on them only the Custom shop logo sticker plus they dont have the pickup mount holes threaded. I had to find a suitable size self tapping screw to make a thread so I could fit the supplied mounting screws.
I have been playing 10 years and have gone full circle to using minimal effects for playing live; usually reverb or sometimes chorus/reverb and overdrive for lead work.
