Features :
Split coil(tapped) humbucking.

Instrument :
This pick-up came stock on my 2007 HSS Deluxe American Stratocaster.

Sound : 7
Like other people on this review I considered replacing this pick-up as the weak link in an overall killer guitar. As I've played with this guitar for about a year and a half now I've grown accustomed to this pick-up. I also needed to change my settings to get the sound I wanted out of the DH-1. I play metal and I like pinch harmonics. To attain the sound I wanted I had to increase the amount of gain and had to learn the "sweet spots" where pinch harmonics could be picked. Now that I'm used to it I find this to be an alright humbucker. One really interesting thing is that the single coil summarian cobalt pick-ups on my strat make less hum than the DH-1, but that's a subject for an entirely different review.

Overall Rating : 7
If it where to fail I would probably get a Seymour Duncan JB to replace it. As it is though I won't replace it as I would like to keep this fine guitar stock.

Instrument :
Came installed on my Fender American deluxe Fat strat along with 2 vintage noiseless single coil pick ups. Vintage Noiseless pick ups mmmmmmm lol

Sound : 7
My set up : I run this guitar thru a Vox V847 which has been modded to the gils(with true by pass) then thru a Ibanez sm-9 to a Modded Ibanez TS-7 (brown mod)and finally thru a Ibanez DL-10 (best damn digital delay out there period) to my Fender HRD (JJ tubes got to have them) even when I plug straight into the amp the pick up tends to be bright and not really my sound. It can do alot of different styles but all of them brite. I hear this pick up is basically a Pearly Gates Plus.

Overall Rating : 7
Ive been playing for 20 years and was once a working Professional muscian and have like 8+ guitars Ive played Funk,Reggae,R&B,Rock,Metal,Calypso you name it lol and in my opinion for what this pick does it does it very well Im sure if you like a brite sounding pick up thats tight and can do classic rock = metal this pick up is for you. Im more of a Seymour Duncan JB kind of sound person myself I like more warmth and bottom to my sound.
