Features
:
Pickup features: Humbucking
Impedence or other specs:
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: Mid 90's Fender DEMO Fat Strat
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Crummy stock humbucker
Other pickups on guitar: Blue Lace Sensor in neck, Red Lace Sensor in Middle
Artists using this pickup: None that I know of, but sounds similar to Tom DeLonge's SD Invader
You musical style(s): Emo, Punk, Alternative, Classic Rock, Funk
Reason for pickup change: I just wanted more from my guitar.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Almost scorching
Tone: Trebly
Sonic evaluation: I run my strat through a Fender Blues Deville 212, powering its own 2 12's as well as 4 Greenback 12's from a Carvin Legacay cab. Oh God, it sounds amazing.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play emo, ska, punk, rock, and classic rock, and the dually sounds great for all of them. I personally think that the bridge is the best place for this pickup, seeing as how it will probably be the hottest pickup on your guitar. Leave the neck and middle up to single coil blues golds silvers and reds.

Comments: If it was taken away somehow, I'd scramble to re-install one. I've been playing for over 11 years now, and own waaay to much gear to list, (8 guitars, 4 amps, bass, banjo, and ukelelee), so here's just a sample: Guild DV 52, Gibson Blues Hawk, Fender Demo model Fat Strat, Fender Blues Deville 212, 1938 Cromwell Auditorium style guitar, and am currently working on finding a good acoustic-electric.
I love this pickup, if you run any kind of overdrive or distortion, it sounds superb, but if you run it clean, it sounds a tad too flat, but this is good for some classic rock or country. I wish it had just a leeetle bit more bottom end, but you can compensate by changing the settings of your amp. I'm pretty confident that this pickup is the one for me, and might be the one for you. Rock out.

Comments: I would put this pick-up in the bridge position of any fender, or any guitar with single coils in the bridge

Pickup features: Humbucker.
Impedence or other specs:
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: 2000 Fender Strat
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Stock humbucker
Other pickups on guitar: Blue Lace Sensor in neck, Silver Lace Sensor in middle
Artists using this pickup: Billy Corgan (kind of, he uses a single coild red)
You musical style(s): Jazz, Rock, anything musically interesting
Reason for pickup change: The stock pickup sounded thin. Not much output (for a humbucker even).
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Balanced. Better than the stock pickup by far.
Tone: Balanced tone. Good for chords
Sonic evaluation: I'm using a Peavy Bandit (i know it sucks) and an EH Big Muff Pi. The sound is great. It's ok distorted, the blue pickup works better for that job, but it still is a great pickup. Clean though it shines. The highs and lows are very balanced.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This pickup will work for just about anything

Pickup features: Humbucker (But can be used as a single coil w/ coil tap switch)
Impedence or other specs:
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: Hot-Rodded American Telecaster
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: DiMarzio Humbucker (unknown model)
Other pickups on guitar: Dimarzio Mini-Humbucker
Artists using this pickup: Me
You musical style(s): Rock, Alternative
Reason for pickup change: I needed more output...
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: It's a very sensative pickup, but that's what makes it cool. It has a ton of output, so it sounds great distorted. I uses a lot of effects, and they sounds better through this pickup. I have no idea why. This pickup will make you sound like Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead.
Tone: It is kinda muddy when clean, but I rarely use it when I'm playing clean. I always switch to my neck pickup. Not a problem for me.
Sonic evaluation: I'm using my Tele with a pile of effects, into a VOX AC30. I have a Danelectro Fab Tone for distortion, and like I said before...it sounds absolutly amazing. With the coil-tap switch, you can get some Zeppelin sounds too.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: It's a great match for me, I play a lot of Radiohead, and a lot of other Alternative stuff. Bridge would be the only suitable position for it. It's good for Heavy Metal and Alternative stuff....

Comments: Yeah, I would get one again...right away. I've been playing for 6 years now, and this is the pick up I've been looking for. I also have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard...and it's a piece of junk. It wasn't very carefully made. I like my Tele a lot more now. It's sounds spectacular.

Model of guitar or bass: Fender Strat
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Stock single coil
Other pickups on guitar: 2 stock singles
Artists using this pickup: ?
You musical style(s): Metal/Punk/Hardcore
Reason for pickup change: I wanted a humbucker. Single coils definately did not sound good when playing heavy metal
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: The pickup has a really great sound when on a distorted channel or with a stomp box. I use a Metal Zone through a fender roc pro head. On a clean channel however, it sounds like crap. It has this really "muddy" toned down sound. So for clean parts, I usually had to switch to my middle pickup.
Tone: As I said before it depends on the channel. on a distorted one, you can get almost any treble, mids, and bass combination you want.. But on a clean channel, it sounds very toned down, sort of like if you blocked the speaker with a pillow or something.
Sonic evaluation: this pickup is great if you play with only distortion. I used to use this pickup through a Fender Roc Pro1000 head, a Boss Metal Zone, and a Crate 4x12 cab w/ celestions. Now I am playing a Epiphon Les Paul Standard with the stock pickups.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Heavy Metal/Hardcore/Punk

Comments: For me, I would most likely buy a Dimarzio Super 3 Distortion pickup if this one got stolen. Just because you can get that great sounds with distortion on it, but also a very nice clean sound. I'm not saying that the fender is a bad pickup. Its just it has a TERRIBLE sound when playing on a clean channel.
