Features :
Single coil neck pickup

Instrument :
Needed a better sounding neck PU for my SX copy tele...had to get rid of the bassy muddy sounding PU.

Sound : 10
Tone is bright, jangly, spanky and close to a strat neck PU. Very balanced and pleasing to the ear. Great for any style of music. The oversized pole peices look awesome too.

Overall Rating : 10
I would recommend the Alnico Fatboy to anybody needing a better sounding Tele neck PU -- it was only $30!!! I turned my cheap tele copy into a tone machine. If stolen I would order another immediatly!

Features :
Single coil Tele alnico (5/) neck PU with oversized pole pieces. Can't remember exactly what the impedance was, though I did measure it. I wanna say like somewhere around 7.5k.

Instrument :
Someone gave me one of these so I thought I would swap out my trusty Fralin vintage neck PU with chrome cover for kicks. I've tried a lot of traditional style Tele neck PUs and have always come back to Lindy's true vintage neck as it the only one that has enough high end and articulation for me. Always been afraid to route for a Strat or P90 as this guitar (partscaster) is so good I didn't wanna mess with anything. I use Lindy's vintage hot A5 in the bridge for the steel guitar sound.

Sound : No Opinion
This PU surprised the h*ll out of me. That's why I'm writing this review. It nails a really good Strat neck PU sound. It is very full range - has a lot of everything, including IMO just the right amount of high end. It is simultaneously fat, warm, clear and articulate - medium hot. I had to crank it down to match my bridge PU output and tilt it a bit to reduce bass. It did change my tweener sound to something more Strat like than Tele like, but the added oomph in the series/humbucker position was more than worth it.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
If you are a Tele player wanting a Strat sound from your neck position, RUN to get one of these. They are a STEAL at $35.

Features :
single coil tele pickup (bridge)
about 10k

Instrument :
installed in a cheap mexican tele that cost me 400 euros and has been treated like **** for 2 years.. love it!

Sound : No Opinion
this thing is great! warm, very twangy.. it still sounds like a tele, but phatter and warmer and more beef. Its HOT! it drives pretty much every amp ive used at high volumes.. even a twin reverb. BUT, you can back it off and it gets some nice clean tele sounds.. just not at high volume. I paired it with a GFS vintage alnico 62 in the bridge and this tele is transformed! ive had a few people ask me what year its from cus of the sound! You can hear thiese pickups in action on a live album i just released with my funk 4tet Phat Fred. www.myspace.com/dontspoilthesoup the album ios Live in Denmark. I was usin an old Music Man amp with 4 10's - it was hard to get a clean tone cus we were playin at high volumes.. so you'll hear the pickup in full bloom.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Id replace this pickup no worries... its kinda become an integral part of the sound of my band now. I also use it on LOUD blues gigs with a guy called Hook Herrera.. again.. its drives... dont get this pickup if ya scared of a bit of dirt cus its has **** loads! its dirty and nasty and have tone to the bone! a "he who dares wins" kinda picup!

Features :
10k tele style passive bridge p/u.

Instrument :
in the bridge on a homemade single p/u tele. second one of these p/u's i've used. chosen because they kill.

Sound : 10
huge beefy output. through a sovtek mig 100 and tube midget combo. run through a dano wasabi, snarling dogs wah, boss sd-1, ehx lpb-1 and a boss dm-100. outlaw country through classic rock to very hard rock this unit works great for me.tone is full and round not piercing. good for solos and rythm. i love tele p/us but this is way more versatile. lots of voices using the volume and tone controls(new for me i used to just turn everything up and go)

Overall Rating : No Opinion
it's just a great pickup for me. the tele it's in is really light but the tone is huge. the only problem i have is the gfs dude. i just don't get him and i'm just about done with him. i've been buying stuff from him for a few years now and his communication sucks. his attitude is weird too. for example i just bought a bridge from him offa ebay. i wanted 2. i offered to buy another at the same price(i had been the only bidder) he declined but told me i could bid on the one he just listed(same price)which ended a week later or get one from his website for twice the amount. i declined because i have been a good customer but obviously unappreciated. if i had bid on the auction item i would have paid double shipping. no combining over that length of time. and to boot no-one bid on that bridge. so he didn't make a sale. minor but after 3 or so years of this style i've just about had it. don't get me wrong i love his p/us i think they're great. i'm also building guitars professionally now and i would 've used his product but it's too frustrating. maybe he'll read this but i don't think he's the type to get the message.

Features :
Single coil telecaster pickups, alnico, extra wide pole pieces. Not sure of the impedance, but a little hotter than stock.

Instrument :
Replacing both stock pickups in a standard Fender Tele.

Sound : 9
The neck version is gorgeous - it's somewhere in between the tone of a Strat and a Tele neck pickup. It's got a lot of pretty little complex overtones. Great for blues, indie, whatever.

I'm not sure I like the bridge version as much. It's a little flat sounding, somehow. I may try their 50's Tele bridge pickup instead.

I'd give it a 10 for the neck version, maybe a 6 or 7 for the bridge.

Overall Rating : 9
Try the neck version in your Tele - it sounds really gorgeous, and opens it up quite a bit. It's really great for leads or melodies now - stock muddiness is gone.

The bridge version I'm not that keen on. It's not terrible, just kind of meh. But it was cheap, I'm not complaining. I'll try the 50's version now.

Features :
This pickup replaced the bridge pickup in my Nashville Telecaster (wired like a Strat with 3 single coils) The stock Tex Mex unit was thin and weak compared to the Carvin AP11 ( nice pickup) I used in the middle position. So, for about $35 I selected this overwound (10K) Fatbody Tele Bridge pickup. It is somewhat more powerfull ( louder) than the stock one but not as much as I would have thought considering the stock unit was about 6K. But there is a much better balance between the middle & bridge pickups now

Instrument :
Fender Nashville Tele bridge pickup.

Sound : 8
Louder than TexMex stock tele bridge pickup. Less piercing high end, more bass and mids. It works well, especially with maple fingerboard Fenders that can sometimes be a bit too plinky and percussive. It is not as loud as I thought it would be, but some height adjustments helped bring up the volume.

Overall Rating : 8
i like this pickup. The huge pole pieces look cool ( I think they are used for bass guitar pickups}. It sounds good, although I do not hear any of the "three dimensional, vintage bloom, and harmonic complexity" jive that many botique pickup makers tout.

Features :
Passive single coil, neck pickup does not have the usual tele type metal cover, very large pole pieces, Alnico magnets, impedance not known, hotter than the generic ceramic pickups that were being replaced, cloth covered leads, 42 gauge Formvar winding, comes with mounting screws and springs, bought from Guitarfetish.com in 2006 for $32.95 plus shipping and handling

Instrument :
Both the neck and bridge models were replaced in the "parts tele"..whose completely outfitted body($85.00, alder with color/clearcoat finish) and neck(35.00, New York Pro "strat type)) were purchased seperately from vendors on Ebay and put together by myself. The body came equipted with some ceramic magnet pickups which sounded kind of sterile to my ears.Guitar is currently equipt with a traditional steel "3 steel saddles" type bridge that originally came from a Fernandes tele thinline copy.

Sound : No Opinion
Output level is quite a bit more than the stockers..I play the guitar through a Behringer GMX110(another very good value for money!!)with built in tuner and digital effects, Zaolla cable..these pickups are very well made, and tone wise very interesting!..The neck pickup, compared to the typical tele, presents a much larger bandwidth of sound, with deep and controlled bass, strong midrange and a sweeet thick and full, but well defined treble..much warmer than your typical tele,(almost P-90 to my ears) but nevertheless, good note defination when playing chords... very pleasing to the ears!...The bridge is again, unmistakebly tele, but definitely NOT the typical sharp trebly(again more P-90 in tonal range), in fact when compared to a tele with Fender Texas Specials, the bridge is slightly warmer and fuller than the neck FTS!!.. Nevertheless you can get some tele scream out of it ...definitely an allrounder...and the combined neck/bridge is one of the most pleasing tele sounds i have heard...almost like a sweet classic sounding humbbucker!..again NOT the typical ...but definetly an interesting and enjoyable sound...Good pickup for blues/jazz/classic rock music

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I am definately going to get me another set!
I've been playing for over 30 years, and own over 50 assorted models guitars
I love the clean open sound with lots of depth
Not for someone looking the typical sharp thin tele sound
Damn good value for money, and a nice adjunct to the tonal pallet available from tele type guitars

Features :
Pickup features: Telecaster neck single coil without chrome cover, with P-Bass polepieces
Impedence or other specs: 9K

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Fender Lite Ash Telecaster
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro neck
Other pickups on guitar: Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro bridge
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): From blues to classic rock.
Reason for pickup change: I broke my Seymour when I tried to remove the cover...But I had never been satisfied with it, and it was just a matter of time before I would change it.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: My neck pickup is mounted onto foam, not springs, which makes it impossible to raise it more than a few mm above the pickguard. It still has quite high output.
Tone: Lots of low and mid tones, which makes it a perfect match for the bridge pickup, because it enables me to cover all bases.
Sonic evaluation: I am using it in a Lite Ash Telecaster, through a 15 watt Randall amp (needs upgrading). This pickup sounds quite like a strat, which was precisely what I wanted, and by rolling down the tone, it turns into a more humbucker-ish sound. Plus, it looks very sexy.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This pickup is great for blues and rock, but probably also for jazz and maybe even punk.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: For such a low price, it gets a ten. I have not yet noticed any negatives about this pickup, and I am very satisfied with it.
