Sound quality is OK. It definately has more output than a standard Tele pickup but not necessarily a fatter sound. It's louder but doesn't give a lot more low end which is what I was looking for. It still has the thin Tele sound. I was hoping for a fuller sound. It might have a little less snap than a standard Tele because the magnetic pole pieces are so large I think they may affect string vibration (just my opinion). You may have to lower the pickup to compensate for the large pole pieces. It is a quiet pickup for a single coil. The wire guage is much thinner than the standard Tele pickup. The lower the guage wire, the higher the resistance; so maybe that's part of how they get the 10K. But the wire is very thin and might be a reliability problem. Also the metal plate is just hot-waxed on and it will slip off the pickup on a hot day before it's installed. It's not an issue after instalation. I have played many gigs with this pickup and it hasn't failed but it is a concern.

Been playing for many, many years. I like the pickup but I may try something else down the road.
