Features

Single coil imports from Asia. Paid way too much for these at $55. GFS is real good talking their products up but so far I am not impressed. These are the same sound you get from the cheap Mighty Mite and other generic imports only with fancy labeling.
Instrument
:
Allparts Strat '57 Alder body with 50's one piece maple neck. Solid sustain block, Gotoh tuners etc. Better than Fender quality. Kustom Quad 100 4x12 half stack.

The middle and neck pickups sound OK. Barely. I wouldn't buy these again but I would keep them rather than go through the trouble of replacing them. I installed them as a first pickup for this guitar. However the bridge pickup is without a dounbt the absolute worst sounding pickup I have ever heard. Flat, no sutain, screeches with metalic sounds when picked. This pickup is going in the trash. There is no way I would try to resell something so lame.
The review score of 1 is mainly for the bridge, but these were sold as a set. It's hit or mis with GFS. I don't think they even have as many models as they claim, it's just a matter of what label they throw on which pickup. Had that happen with some of their humbuckers.

The previous reviewer is either deaf or knows nothing about guitar sound. Most people giving good reviews for poor products are either the manufacturer or some rookie teenager that never owned anything until they review it so they think its the greatest thing in the world. Thus the inflated reviews on this site. So take them with a grain of salt.

No Opinion
Perceived output level: Slightly hotter than stock vintage strat pickups.
Tone: Full balanced warm tone across the board.
Sonic evaluation: This strat finally came to life with these GFS pickups. It sounded very good before but now it's compleat. So far I've just played it through my Mesa Boogie Studio .22.Unfortunetly I live in a small appartment so I can't crank it very loud but these pickups show how good they are right off the bat.Only $53.95 shipped, get them while they're cheap.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable:

Comments: If the guitar was totally destroyed or stolen I would definitely go with the same setup. I've been playing guitars and bass in bands for over ten years and I can say that with all the guitars I've owned and played this strat is up their with the best.
