Gold cover humbucker. 14K Built very solid. Soldering on back of pickup very nice. Does not seem cheap at all.

I was looking for a replacement pickup for my Dean Black Gold Z. The pickups have good tone but do not have enough power for me. I usually have EMGs. I replaced the bridge position pickup. These pickups got my eye just with the price. This pickup was $23.00 on ebay through the manufacturer.

Holy crap. This thing barks. It has a vintage feel but the output is great. Were as the stock pickup was very bassie and did not distort well (8K). It is not too bassie nor to britle, just in the middle perfect. I am playing through a ENGL Fireball halfstack. I also use sometimes a BBE sonic max and Pod XT Live for effects only.

I have read some reviews saying this pickup does not distort well or has low output. IMOP this is a great pickup, especially if you want to keep a stock look to your guitar and have some high output. The people at Guitar Fetish were very nice and responsive. I would try thier Cruncy Rails before going to EMGs. These are great pickups even if they cost twice as much.
