Comments: my es 335 came with these pickups hb-l and r at first i didnt care for them but they grew on me fast.i use p-90s most of the time but these pick sound great clean the neck is one of the best jazz pickups to my ears i ever heard when i got this guitar i called gibson to find out about these pickups they were not very helpful then finally i called gibson parts dept. and they turn me on to someone who told me these were design by bill lawrence when he work for gibson i email him wrote him a letter its been 6mos now havent heard baCK THESE ARE GREAT pickups why they are being so hush hush i dont know but i would not part with these for nothing ive been playing 35 yrs most worship at church and christain rock and metal played every thing out there almost passive,active,gibson,fender,hamer,peavey,zion,jackson,ibanez,guitars.marshall,boogie,peavey,fender,you name it my favorite is this gibson es-335 with these pickups ab between a fender twin for clean and a marshall 800 for dirty it works for me i sold every thing else.
