Comments: This is a sugar-sweet Les Paul Pickup. There's no two ways about it. It's best appreciated at high throttle. Stock pickups were super clean yet high output, and are fine for heavy metal and higher gain sounds. I prefer my Les Paul to sound "vintage". Previous reviews are all quite accurate, just thought I'd add my 2 cents. Don't be surprised by microphonics and a little tinniness. The originals had the same problem. Been playing for 5 years, in full time music school for 3?. The real beauty comes out at loud breakup volumes, where you will enjoy EVERY nuance of your favorite Les Paul tones, from very heavy to lighter bluesy, but always older sounding. A little expensive but nice!
