The GS-1 was originally installed in middle position of a Godin xtSA model. I put it in the bridge position of a low-budget strat copy in order to improve the sound.
Sound

The pu has high output with strong treble and warm middletone. It lacks a bit bass but thats normal in bridge position to a certain degree. It distorts rather early and I love to play highgain with it. Switching it to humbuck-position along with the middle pu its a real blaster perfect for precise metal rythms. I give it 8 for a lack of bass.

It didn't knew anything about that pu when I purchased it from a friend. I just wanted to replace the crappy low-cost pu of my strat-copy. This was real luck, I love it!
