Features
:
Chrome covered humbucker set
16.8 DC for bridge and 9 for neck.
Instrument
:
Had these in a Silvertone SSG 21 fake SG. Took them out and took the covers off and installed gold no hole covers on them and put them in a Jackson Performer PS4.
Sound
:
9
Sounded pretty good clean, although the bridge is considerably louder than the neck. Distorted, the neck was a bit muddy. The bridge sounded good. That was in the Silvertone. In the Jackson, They sounded good clean and distorted. Both pickups are very articulate and sweet. Nice rich lows without being to bassy. Slightly scooped lower mids, specially in the brige pickup. Nice clear highs, but not shrill. I play through a Marshall MG half-stack with the clean channel set on crunch. Sounds pretty close to a jazz/jb though a little brighter. A little tune down and tweaking the gain and eq, and I get sounds similiar to Sabbath's soound on Heaven and Hell and newer stuff like Eternal Idol.
Overall Rating
:
9
I've been playing a bloody long time. I prefer Duncans and Gibsons on my guitars. These will do quite nicely. Nice cross between Duncan JB and Gibson Iommi. I wish these were available without covers on them. Nice sound in the Silvertone. Really nice on the Jackson.
