Double coil high gain humbucker pickups. Passive I'm not sure on the ourtput. 16.4 I think on the bridge and 8.9 for the neck.
Instrument
:
I installed these custom made dual humbucker tele. In the bridge and neck position. These were the first pickups ever installed on this guitar. I don't think any known artist would use this pickup.

The output level is okay. I'm using a peavey XXX 100 watt tube head. The tone??? These things have no tone period. I play classic rock, metal, blues some jazz. These are not a good match for any style in my opinion. I installed these in both positions, and had the worst case of microphonic feedback imaginable WHOA. I took them apart to pot them. What a surprise and this is 100% true. These pickups are ARTEC pickups. They are not made by Guitarheads like they claim. Guitarheads pickups are ARTEC. take a look for yourself. all you have to do is peel the tape off surrounding the coils, it's sticky it goes right back on. look underneath the bobbins between the backing plate and the bobbin. Sure enough ARTEC is ingraved in the plastic bobbin. I feel scammed. ARTEC is a based in Koyang city korea, and they manufacture in China. These are not US made like they claim. Straight from China. Chinese made pickups, that's why they sound like crap. They don't even have enough balls to say Guitarheads manufactured by Artec 100% China made pickups. with Guitarheads logo stamped on them. they take all the china made stickers off. I think this is against the law.

I noticed that a few people said these sounded like chinese made pickups. You were right on the money.
Lets see what Guitarheads has to say about there pickups being ARTEC china made pickups.

These are some double coil humbuckers. They are passive. I don't remember what the ohm's are on these. I just know they are supossed to be high gain.
Instrument
:
I put these in a Ibanez rg530, replacing the stock pickups.

The output on these pickups are not as high gain as they claim they are. For an example I have some stock gibson SG humbuckers. And the bridge pickup is 9.7K and the neck is 8.6K. And the stock gibsons are a lot louder. I would have to say, these pickups are very unbalanced and harsh. As you turn your amplifier up the bridge pickups tend to become another animal. The mids are gone the highs are there but become really honky. The low end muds up and sounds bad. The bridge pickups just flat out sucks at any volume level. sounds like your speakers are breaking up. Then to top it all off these pickups are squealers. I think they are worst pickups I have heard other than those Chinese cheap pickups they put in guitars. they sound the same as chinese cheapies.

If these were destroyed or stolen. I would not replace. These pickups I TOOK OUT RIGHT AWAY. These pickups are retired and are heading to a rest home I have been playing for 34 years. THE BOTTOM LINE WITH THESE PICKUPS. JUNK, they misbehave in a bad way. Buy some real pickups. And GUITARHEADS I have a question for you. Why do you put up sound files that are clearly not these pickups you sent me?

I almost didn't purchase these after I read the last review. Glad I took a chance. This is the hexpole humbuckers in green. Specs are 16.4 dc resistance for the bridge and 8.6 for the neck.
Instrument
:
Installed these myself in an Ibanez S370. Original pickups were not bad, but a bit bassy.
Sound

The neck pick up is a little louder the a regular paf type. Sounds good clean, kinda jazzy. Distorted, it's more articulate than I expected. Nice full tone. The bridge pickup is loud and sounds decent clean. Distorted, it's very balanced. Compares well with a Dimarzio Super Distortion. Roll off the volume and it cleans up fairly well. Sounds kinda bright. I play different kinds of music, depending on my mood. Good for heavy metal and not bad for alternative either. Neck pickup can handle blues and jazzy stuff.

I was looking for that Evolution sound. Sounds a bit more like a really loud, mid rangey, paf. Would prefer it didn't distort so easily, but I wanted more output than a standard paf type. I wish it were available with alnico v magnets though. Over all, pleasently surprised. Just make sure you install it correctly or they will sound like cheap, brittle, single coils. Once properly installed, you will like what you hear.

Humclucking...Passive.
Ok,
Here we have a set of Ebay/Guitarheads Hex pole Pickups in White.
They DO in fact "Look" cool, which is what caught my attention.I needed White Pickups specifically so I figured I'd try these.
I had them installed by a PRO and I just can't believe my ears.
These are THE WORST pickups I have EVER used in my 20 Years of playing Heavy Metal Music,well..OK the Pickups that used to come stock on those Harmony Guitars MIGHT be a tad worse.
It's nice that you can adjust each pole piece BUT that won't help here @ all,In terms of sound.Let me say how cool they do look once more..

The guitarheads pickups are installed on the neck and bridge position (Not for long) on My BC Rich Bich the was an X-Mas Gift from the owner of my heart.
The BC Rich Bich pickups were much better,More Gain,Better tone.
Although the originals sounded better which stock pickups hardly EVER sound better than when you buy a replacement, well in this case I should've left this guitar alone. Not only did it cost me to get them wired and purchasing the actual pickups but the are so bad in fact that I'm not allowed to used the words needed to give any of you an honest opinion/description.I feel screwed BUT then again..you really DO get what you pay for,Buy Cheap Buy Twice is what the repariman told me.Hahaha..And I KNOW this but simply wanted to try something else.
I'm so pissed....

Output level???Paaahleeez.......These are SO quiet you HAVE to wonder where this guitarhead guy is getting his #'s from in terms of output,
16.4k Ohms for the Bridge position? VERY doubtful. My neck pickup is MUCH louder and the # for those is much lower???(8.6K Ohms on the Neck ).These things have NO gain and remind me of a crappy version of the Screamin Demons, yes you all remember those. They are NOT a highgain pickup like you would have thought (George Lynch n all)..But they were simply made to "Clean Up" when backing the volume off.Not really even those because @ least those had a Great Tone to them.OK back the the review of these pitiful pickups NOT even worthy of the cool Headbangers Ball Lettering that they have on the very botton coil.
I had them wired in a coil split configuration so that my tonal options would be wider.Listen up,I seriously was like well OK,if the Metal sounds aren't that great since I wired them in a push/pull/coil split configuration that I'll @ the VERY least would be able to use them for some Clean type playing..Ahhhh...NOPE,another dissapointment.
I tried to dial a halfway decent acceptable metal tone in Gearbox (Modeling Software)No go.Like I said earlier when I came to terms that these were NOT going to work for my Metal recordings ,MAYBE they will work for cleaner material and still was VERY dissapointed w/the tone, output level.Just everything, the fact that I even paid $$ for these, then paid $$ top get them installed by someone who does just that for a living rather than to have myself to blame for doing a half assed job.Not that I would on 1 of my guitars,I figured just have a professional do it and there will be NO 2'nd guessing...

PLEASE,PLEASE don't buy these whatever you do.Save a LITTLE more $ and go buy ONCE and buy something that has been heavily reviewed THEN you'll know what the hell to expect.I understand it's is ALL a matter of preference, taste.I have been playing for 20+ years,I own some VERY serious equipment and usually don't mess around like this.My Jackson DMKG reverse has EMG's,I removed the crappy HZ's and installed REAL 81(Bridge) & 89 (Neck. That guitar has it ALL,Clean,Metal..Yes..It IS my favortie.I just wanted to "TRY" something different and I cannot tell you what a HUGE dissapointment these were they should be called CrackHeads..I also own a Fernades that is kinda weird, ity has an Active FGI (Never heard of it BUT is sounds Killer)in the bridge and some no name passive in the neck?I thought that was odd BUT it works in EVERY aspect of this guitar.I also just bought a Peavey Vortex V that I really like alot. The stock pickups are OK, much better than these *^$#heads..anyway and I want to replace them as well, thinking X2N?Love those blade pickups..@ home I run a UX8 w/GearBox as well as a Line 6 POD Pro XT Rack.@ Band Practice I destroy with a Randall V2 400 Watt head and a Randall Warhead 4X12,loaded with Vintage 30's.Not too shabby,The Jackson sounds soooo good on my amp, better than anything else I have ever played, owned in the past anyway.I'm pretty much thrilled w/my sound just trying to tweak some of my other guitars to sound as good w/out having to buy ALL EMG's...
Thanks for reading my review I hope it'll be helpful to somebody and will save someone else's time and $$ not to bother with these.
I wish I could've found something nice to say about these but I can't because there isn't anything nice to say, they are just terrible and would never buy another pickup from them again,However they DO have some other very cool preamps, etc. on their site.

This is a Set of 2 Humbucker Pickups featuring a Warmer "Vintage" Tone, but made with modern technology, and for the modern guitarist. While their tone replicates the warm feel of the Gibson PAF pickups from the late 50s, they have a roaring output of 16.4k Ohms for the Bridge position, and 8.6K Ohms on the Neck side. Each pickup also has 12 Adjustable Hex Pole Pieces, to help avoid "Dead Spots" and improve overall pickup response (the poles have a spacing of Bridge/52mm & Neck/50mm). They are driven by Anisotropic Ferrite Magnets (a High-end Ceramic), and also feature a 5 Conductor Lead (allowing you to coil tap either of these pickups, as well as any other fancy wiring you want to do with them).
