Features
:
The Haeussel AGL the '62 is a passive humbucker with a little bit more than 8 Ohm impedance. It is a special product for a guitar shop in germany, but i think you can order it via http://www.acys-lounge.de.
Instrument
:
The PU is installled on the bridge position of a Gibson SG Special and replaces the stock PUs in the neck position is a matching Haeussel AGL the '62 N. I replaced the stock PU because they have to much unspecific treble and are not transparent enough.
Sound

The output level is vintage orientated, not a high gain PU. I use it with a Petersburg P-100 (a Marshall JCM 800 2203 clone), mostly plain sometimes with Effects (EH Small Stone, Small Clone, Big Muff, a Morley Wah and a MEK CF-1 Fuzz).
The tone is crisp i would say. It sounds very elegant, not to much very high treble but very fresh, with a solid bass.
I play alternative rock (lemonheads, dinosaur jr.) and the PU is perfect for this music. You can play complete chords and identify the chord even at mid distortion.
Overall Rating

I would buy it immedeatly again if it was stolen!!
I own an Epi SG-400 with Tesla PUs, a Squier Jagmaster with Duesenberg Singlecoils, a Marshall 1959 SLP Amp, a Fender 75 Amp. But the Gibson SG with the haeussel PUs played with the Petersburg is my favourite equipment!
I love the crisp and fresh sound that I get with thes equipment: a brilliant clean, a dirty crunch, a fresh rhythm-distortion and signing leads (with big muff or cf-1).
I compared this PU with the stock PU and with other Haeussl PUs, the '62 was best for me and my purposes.
The PUs have definetly to much cables, i heard there is a version with just two (shield and hot) it would be easier to install this one.
I'm very happy with this PU.
I give it a 9, because of all the other great PUs that will be manufactured by harry haeussel in the future.
