Perceived output level: Honestly? Like a Texas Special made PROPERLY.
Tone: Lucsious mids, Rich bottoms but harmonic bells up high. Crisp but with of SUBSTANCE.
Sonic evaluation: Using Marshall JCM2000 DSL 401 all valve 40 watt combo. No FX.....just direct in......AWESOME!
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Blues mainly, lots of classic rock from the mid 80's onwards.

Comments: 10 PLUS. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, ......being involved in the industry both professionally as well as in retail, I have a wide range of both vintage and modern guitars on hand and these pickups are without a doubt the epitome of "TONE" as well as an overall increase of true sound from your selected piece of wood. I fitted theese to a 1984 Standard USA made Fender Strat so I could evaluate them fairly. If I ever wanted to give a great guitar a dose of steroids yet maintain its integrity and overall quality of sound. I would install these again and again. Ive tried the very best on offer from all over the world....these babies just DO IT!... and they do it RIGHT! A VAST improvement overall in evry aspect.
