Reason for pickup change: Although a PAF style pickup, the Ray Gerold was too muddy in this guitar.

Perceived output level: low for a humbucker
Tone: tight, clean, good highs but still warm bass, very balanced
Sonic evaluation: Guitar see above. Amps various self modded Fenders and Marshalls. Only a few effects. The Vin N delivers a clear but warm tone with no mud or screech. It does not have "double notes" and does not scream. These properties make it my number one pickup for Tele style guitars in the neck position.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: This PU is an excellent match for all my styles.

Comments: I am not sure whether I would replace it. Before I got to know WCR pickups I definitely would have said "yes" but now I may try a WCR Crossroads.
