Stock in my Rg370dx INF3/ INFS3/ INF4.
I actually just changed my INF4 today to a Seymour Duncan Sh-13 'Dimebucker'. Not much difference. Slightly better harmonics with the dime and its a little crunchier. Yeah, keep your INF4, theyre pretty damn hot pickups.

Cheap *** 15w Kirk Hammett randall

I play classical, metal, rock and blues. INF4 is very versitile.

If you've got an INF4 bridge pup and are thinking of buying the Dimebucker. Stop. Kick yourself in the ass and go buy a Bill Lawrence xl500, the real dime pickup. Or just keep the INF4, its better then you think it is.

Output is hot, but not excessive. Bridge pickup can get a nice crunch out of most any preamp, neck is smooth and perfect for cleaning up or soloing. In single mode they sparkle a bit with crispness.
I have heard that these are like cheap PAFs, and it wouldnt surprise me. The sound is very similar.

I only went on here on a whim to see if anyone else loved these pickups as much as I do. It's nice to see I'm not alone. I love these pups. I may even get more for my backup guitars to breathe new life into them. What a great deal.

Bought a set of these hummers used offa eBay based largely from the info I had read about them right here on HC.
Instrument
:
Had them set-up by my luthier in a tobaccoburst Switch Ultima IV Signature I had purchased new that came factory equipped with EMG Selects. Read here on HC that the Ibanez units were actually DiMarzio clones and was looking for more bite and growl than what the low-end EMG's could deliver. Had the pots and three way replaced with an 80's era Kramer wiring harness and got all the *** outta this set-up I could hope for.

Plenty of quality sound and bite. Very satisfied with the results. For minimum buckage I was able to obtain monster return. Completely satisfied with the tonal range, clarity and power of these PUPs. Turned my average ol' Switch into a friggin' headhunter!

Truly one of the best kept secrets of the guitar world. For the money you'll save and the return in sound you'll get you'd be hard pressed to find a matched set of powerful hummers that deliver like these two. Close to perfect match for lower end guitars that could use the punch without getting punch-drunk in the wallet. Check 'em out.

All black humbuckers, INF3 for neck and INF4 for bridge. I'm not sure on the specs, but they're hot pickups.

Ibanez RG321MHOL. Very awesome guitar for the money, plays great and is built solid. These are the pickups that come standard in this model and I think they're perfect for it.

These are hot pickups and reasonably bright but in a good way. I liked the sound of these pickups from the moment I heard them but went ahead a threw a Tone Zone/PAF Pro combo in for the hell of it. I hated this guitar with that combo! An old Ibanez I had sounded great with those but this one was dark and muddy, perhaps the lack of a maple cap is making the difference. So, I took those out and put the Ibanez ones back in.
The bridge is hot and crunchy and the single coil tones are killer. The sound has that little top-end bite that makes you feel each note and it can turn medium gain amps into beasts. The bottom end is not overwhelming so it doesn't make a metal tone flubby.
The neck pu is hot also and has a nice brightness that lends itself to lead playing very well. The notes cut and don't get all bassy with overtones when you're playing on the big strings high up on the neck. This pickup stays clear and smooth everywhere.

I have to say, I am super impressed with these pickups. I don't often write reviews, and certainly not for pickups since they're always so subjective. But, because these are cheap and sound so good I thought people researching these might want to know. I made the mistake of buying new pickups for the guitar before I actually got it, thinking they'd sound like **** for sure. All I'm saying is, wait to try them first and you might be as surprised as me. These are the best stock pickups I've ever heard on a guitar this price hands down.

These come on the NEW RG-120. Stock pick-ups. They are double poles on each pick-up and both rows are active. Like the DiMarzio PAF-PROs. Matter of fact these are designed by DiMarzio for Ibanez to be PAF-PRO copys. You know what I like the BETTER. I had this RG come in my shop and I bought is used but like new. I didn't think much of though I loved the WHITE body Black hardware. But thught it was a cheap RG. Anyway I set it up [BTW I play a MIJ Prestige 2570] This guitar has a neck, fret-work and action VERY similiar to my Priestige. Its that Nice. the pups sounded good through a practice amp at my shop. I took it Home and played it through a Fender Twin 67 and a VOX AC-30 TBRI. These pick-ups are AWESOME they are clear and articulate. Harmonics just jump off the fretboard. The bass and mds are nice and tight and the Highs are well balanced and detailed. These are AMAZING pick-ups through a Good Amp decent through a cheap practice!!!

First, i play mainly heavy metal, '80s type of sound, and a lot of clean stuff. I use this RG at home on all-digital solution featuring processor, EM-U soundcard, and plethora of VSTs on the other side. In garage it's processor -> direct injection via soundboard to monitors, and i have tried it on 50, 70, and 100W Marshall heads, and on some vintage Trace Elliot.
In all configurations, these pickups are great. Just a bit of everything to make a great mix - lows keep pumping, highs cut through like a blade and the mids keep the power. And they don't change sound when you lower or raise them, so you can keep the one above another to get the nice power boost / power lower when switching between them.
On my all-digital solution, i can reproduce any sound. Of course, nitpickers and pro's will notice the difference between analog and digital processing, but it's not the INF to blame. INFs handle all jobs very good. Connected to classic amp, you get that in-your-face metal sound on high-gained channel, but not the muddy overdistorted type. There is no noise, just pure sound. That vintage Trace Elliot revealed a clean side of this pup's, which is...excellent!
I don't play "alternative" where you need crunchy sound, or some hardcore, death metal, etc, so i can't talk about that, but for rock and traditional heavy metal these pickups are great.
I gave them a rating of 9, because they're pretty cheap, stock stuff, and they have excellent sound. If you're playing rock/metal, they'll assist you greatly on finding "your sound", but when you found it, switch to DiMarzio Super Distortion / PAF Pro or any similar combination, that'll perfect your sound even more.

I have been playing on this particular guitar with this particular pickups for 10 years. They have been great throughout the years on all equipment i used or just tested them on.
I am changing them soon, because i'll upgrade all mechanics and electronics on this RG (putting schaller tuners, pots, switch, pup housings, original Floyd Rose, DiMarzio SD+PAF Pro together with Roland GK-KIT-GT3). However, i'll keep them in storage, and if anything happened to them, i'd get a used par from eBay instantly. These are great pups to be used as cheap backup, even for a pro musician. You could install them in a low-end nonbrand guitar to make it scream a bit.
