Features :
This is a passive humbucker with 4 conductor wiring that I purchased off ebay for $20. Check other other reviews for the technical stuff. This came out of a Ibanez RG model soldbody.

Instrument :
I installed this in a 1984 E series Fender Squire Bullet with HSS pickup configuration. The V2 was mounted in the bridge position. The stock pickup sounded too nasally and it did not clean up well. I also replaced the other single coils with Ibanez pickups. I have the pickups wired normally except in position 2 (5 way switch) the middle single coil is wired to work with the inside coil of the V2 which give a awesome rythm sound suited for funk, reggae and clean country.

Sound : 10
The output of this pickup does not seem much hotter than the stock pickup but it has way more dynamics. I use primarily Fender,Peavy and Epiphone valve jr tube amps. I use various overdrive pedals(Rat,tube screamer etc.) Chorus and delay. I wanted a pickup that can get really push my amps but also clean up well when I turn down the volume and this pickup does it extremely well. I play blues, rock county, funk and this can cover those styles very well. I wanted a pickup that can get dirty but still remain clear, focused and not get muddy. The harmonics on this pickup are great. This is a well voiced pickup that is not muddy or midrangy and it will push your amp into distortion and clen up vey well when you lower the guitar volume.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this pickup and I have purchased several more from ebay. I have been playing for 30 years and I have been playing bass for about 20 years. I own I own les pauls, strats, telecasters and various other misc electrics, acoustics and basses. This pickup is very similar to a Dimarzio Air Norton that I have in another strat but for way less dollars. Just remember when you are looking for pickups use your ears and not what brand is popular at the time. Look for somebody using an application simlar to yours. What sounds great for somebody using an effects rack with solid state amps may not sound good for cord into a tube amp guy.

You musical style(s): progressive rock, blues, jazz, metal, classic rock

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: pretty good output, definitely better than powersound POS
Tone: Warm, crunchy, bright

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: good as a general purpose humbucker

Overall Rating : 8
Comments: If it were stolen, I'd wonder what idiot took the pickup and left this fine US made guitar sitting there, if it were lost I'd with to have another one, but can't think where I'd buy it.

Features :
Pickup features: Passive humbucker
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: 1978 Ibanez Studio 300
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: I'm not sure if it was stock, but it was in the guitar when I bought it
Other pickups on guitar: Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck model
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): Fusion/Jazz, Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock, Shred
Reason for pickup change: This pickup gave me close to what i needed, the tone was right,I like the way the notes run together while using distortion. But it wasn't quite clear and articulate enough.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: moderate
Tone: smooth and warm, plenty of mids ,a little cut on the highs
Sonic evaluation: ME-30, ART rackmount preamp, powered cabinets.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Good for neck position, I haven't tried bridge position but heard that it works well

Overall Rating : 7
Comments: I replaced it. I'm extremely critical when it comes to tone, if there's even the smallest thing wrong, I'll fix it right away. This pickup is great for blues and clean jazz styles, but not quite what I was after.

Features :
Pickup features: Passive Humbucker
Impedence or other specs: ??

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Charvel 375 Deluxe
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Stock (J90C)
Other pickups on guitar: 2 standard Jackson single coils
Artists using this pickup: None I think
You musical style(s): Rock Rock Rock
Reason for pickup change: The Jackson pickup was to bassy and not tight enough on the Charvell (has lots of mids and bass tones fom itself)and it sounded too thin in hi end

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Quite good, not too high though, just right
Tone: Very tight and a specific mid tone wich I was looking for, not to much treble(hate that)
Sonic evaluation: Marshall 8080 with eq's and quadraverb

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Perfect for roch with a great lead tone, neck position only

Overall Rating : 9
Comments: Never will sell it in my whole life, I love the mid tone in this thing, and it's not thin in hi end wich is inportand for solo's, I think it only sounds great on a basswood guitar and a valvestate amp.
Still searching for something a bit smoother and very tight bass response.
