Jason Lollar Jazzmaster

Single coil.

Installed this in on my '62 USA RI Jazzmaster. Both the neck and bridge were installed. I wanted to install new pickups because the stock pickups just didn't sound right to me. They were alright, but lacked something that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

These pickups are AMAZING. The fidelity on the pickups are outstanding. The toggle in the middle position now sounds like a perfect blend of the pickups- whereas with the stock- it sounds blase. Now, it's one of my favorite positions- before it really sounded undefinable. It has really added tone to my jazz- making it sound more like the vintage jazzes of old.

It was hard for me to find reviews on Jazz pups, but I narrowed it down to the Lollars and Fralins. The reason I went with the Lollars was based on my conversation with them. They were very helpful with information- like Jason designed these based on the '61 pups of old- also, I asked them why I should pick Lollars over Fralins and they basically told me they didn't know the specs on the Fralins, but they know Lindy well and said, "Either way you won't go wrong". That was very impressive...they could've slagged the competition to make a sale, but they really respect Fralin and told me they make great pups too.

If you own a RI Jazz- do yourself a favor and install these pups- you will be amazed at the tone, depth and fidelity they bring to your already amazing guitar.
