Comments: Sure, I'd replace them. Burns pickups just like Rickenbacker pickups have their own unique sound.
I've been playing 40 years. I have several high end Fenders, Gibsons and Rickenbackers.
I love the unique retro sound I get from these pickups. I hate nothing about them and feel they are not lacking for anything.
If you're into the vibe I'm into, just like with Ric toaster pickups in Rics, the Burns Tri-Sonic pickups must be in Burns guitars. It's all part of the unique tonal package. For 'that' (retro) sound, these are the real deal.
