Features
:
Pickup features: Humbucker, passive
Impedence or other specs: CERAMIC / D.C. =15.5K
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: BC Rich Warlock Platinum Pro
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Stock BC Rich humbucker (BDSM)
Other pickups on guitar: Kent Armstrong HSDE-1 (Bridge)
Artists using this pickup: Me
You musical style(s): Metal
Reason for pickup change: I was very happy with the stock BC Rich pickups, but they lacked definition and growl (i have a very harsh metally tone and need a pickup with lots of clarity and power).
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: 15.5K. High output but not over the top output. I use it as my bluesy pickup for melodic runs and sustained notes.
Tone: Sounds well ballanced in my opinion. BC Rich's are typically bassy, but thats all good because it was a good match for this pickup. Very bluesy and warm sounding.
Sonic evaluation: BC Rich Warlock Platinum Pro > Korg AX1500G Multi effects pedalboard > Marshall Valvestate 102R (100W 2x12 combo)
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play mostly Metal and was in search of my own sound. I believe this pickup would work well in all positions, but i use it as my neck pickup.
Overall Rating
:
9
Comments: I was originally going to buy EMG's but i was browsing the net and saw this. It sounded exactly what i wanted so i didn't hesitate to order one. I'm completely happy with this pickup and it is a perfect match for the rest of my gear. I've been in search of my own sound for a long time, and this pickup has helped me get very close to the sound i'm looking for. I'm going to rate this pickup a 9, as there is always room for improvement.

Impedence or other specs: It has many conductor wires, so its perfect for splitting, phasing and most other humbucker options
Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: A modded Jackson JS-20
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Stock Jackson humbucker
Other pickups on guitar: Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder staggered on neck, Kent Armstrong STHR7 on middle
Artists using this pickup: Me ;)
You musical style(s): Punk, Ska, Skacore.
Reason for pickup change: Jackson stock pickup was too weak sounding and produced a HIGH amount of feedback.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: High Output, perfect for High Gain stuff. Its not even compairable to the stock Jackson 'bucker i had!
Tone: Very nice, full sound with some high gain distortion. High output. Not AMAZING on clean as its a tad trebly, but thats a job for the good old single coil, or you can just turn the tone pot down a bit. Also not HUGE amounts of feedback, but just the right amount, and it also produces hardly any - 0 hum, even when cranked up!
Sonic evaluation: I use a Modified Jackson JS-20 (i call it the JM1) and play straight into a Marshall MG100DFX, and it sounds GREAT!
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play Punk, Ska, and Ska core, and this pickup is perfect, producing screaming distortion tones. I play songs simialr to choking victim, leftover crack and anti-flag, and it gets the job done, no problem
Overall Rating

10
Comments: AWESOME value, why bother buying EMGs or Duncans when you can have the same, maybe higher quality pickup for under half the price. I will always use Armstrongs now!
