Reason for pickup change: The stock pickups didn't have enough output and they sounded way too muddy.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: High, flys through the pinch harmonics
Tone: Balanced, it gives a very clear tone.
Sonic evaluation: I play out of a Marshall AVT150 Head, and JCM 1960 4x12 Cab. I run a Boss MetalZone pedal into that. This pickup is definently worth the money. I was really unhappy with the Epiphone's Stock pickups, but once I put these on, it really made me love my guitar.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Metal, Alt Rock, Punk.
Overall Rating
:
9
Comments: I picked these over EMG's however I think that EMG's might be slightly better, but for the money you can't go wrong with Kent Armstrong.
