Features :
Pickup features: Humbucking of course!
Impedence or other specs: Not Sure. Check out specs at WD products webpage

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Epiphone Les paul Sandard
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Stock Epi pieces of poo.
Other pickups on guitar: Stock Epi piece of poo in bridge, soon to be replaced.
Artists using this pickup: Other than me, no idea.
You musical style(s): All over the place.
Reason for pickup change: Stock Epi pieces of poo. If you have any, you know what I'm talkin' about boooyy!

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Hotter than the stock Epi poopys.
Tone: My god, you mean neck pickups aren't supposed to sound like mud??!!! Amazing. Warm and jazzy. When you push it, it responds beautifully.
Sonic evaluation: Epi into Boss EQ into Fender Pro Junior (tube practice/recording amp). The overall improvement in my sound is great. You can have all the efx and sweet amps you want, but the pickups are the foundation of any electrics sound. Build from the foundation up you wack mutha!

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Good for any style really. All purpose PAF puppy. (not poopy)

Overall Rating : 9
Comments: If someone stole this, first I would then compliment them on managed to un-install my pickup out from under my nose without me noticing, then I'd promptly un-install their internal organs. If it died, I'd replace it with the same most likely. For the price, you can't beat it. I've been playing for 4 years and haven't experimented with that many pickups. I still know good tone when I hear it, and this has it in spades. Nice and warm. Basically, I wanted to try something besides the usual DiMarzio/Duncan fare, and I had heard good things about these pickups. The only problem I'm having is that with the stock Epi poopy in the bridge, the balance is tipped drastically. I'm probably going to try a Seymour Duncan Alnico II or JB in the bridge to try to get a nicer balance and an overall nicer tone. Good value if you don't have mass $$$ for some vintage-ass relic that probably sucks anyway.

Features :
Pickup features: Passive Humbuckers
Impedence or other specs: Dunno!

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Epiphone Les Paul Custom
Position: all positions
Pickup being replaced: I bought the guitar second-hand with these installed.
Other pickups on guitar: None.
Artists using this pickup: Dunno!
You musical style(s): Indie pop-rock.
Reason for pickup change: Well, they were already on there. That said, we all know about Epiphone pickups, do we not!

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Louder than usual Epi's, like yr Seymour '59s really.
Tone: The neck is beautifully sweet and warm. The bridge is exactly what you would expect.
Sonic evaluation: I play the Epi through a Fender Stage, or sometimes a Vox AC-1. Both pickups are great, I think they just have the edge over SD '59s for warmth. Kent Armstrong humbuckers are under-rated!

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play a bit of everything, though death-metal isn't really my thing. Obviously they make humbucker sounds, so if you want single coil sounds then buy single coils.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I would definitely replace them if the unimaginable happened. These are great pickups. Especcially the neck, it is so versatile: anyone who goes from stock to one of these on an Epi Les Paul won't know what hit them. Basically, I've wrote this review because I want people to know there's more to humbuckers than Seymour and Dimarzio.
