I'd buy them again
Playing 5 years
The tonal quality, no regrets
Yes, compared it to a 50s Tele and a modern Fender American Std
No wishes
I'm satisfied with the sound
If you have a non-plywood (alder) body Squier Telecaster with OEM pickups, then these (TL4R also installed) pickups will totally transform your sound. They did for my Tele. They take you from cheap and cheerful to classy and rich-toned. I totally recommend them, and they are economically priced, too.

Tone: Very well balanced tone
Sonic evaluation: Line 6 Spider 2 w/ 2-10"s. These pickups fit the bill for this tele rebuild. I wanted a classic Tele sound but better, I wanted the sound of a really GOOD classic Tele. These pups are fantastic for the money, Clean, articulate with loads of Tele bite.

Comments: I have been playing for 41 years and have a Tele sound pretty well burned into my head so when I bought the KA's I knew the sound I wanted. The Armstrong's delivered a superb classic Tele sound with a articulate balanced tone.
