Features :
Pickup features: Single Coil
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: 70's Tele
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: OEM
Other pickups on guitar: TL4F
Artists using this pickup: ?
You musical style(s): Classic Rock, Blue and Country
Reason for pickup change: I got the battered old Tele CHEAP. The neck was great but theelectronics were fried. I rebuilt this old bird to create that old Tele sound

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: A little hotter than stock
Tone: Trebly, nicely balanced
Sonic evaluation: I play through a Line 6 Spider II with 2-10"s. I wanted the sound of a really GOOD classic Tele and the KA's delivered. The sound is exactly what I wanted, brigt and VERY punchy, the old "ice pick in the eardrum" sound. This thing is the twang monster. I love it.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable:

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Comments: I've been playing 41 years and had the sound I wanted burned into my brain. The Armstrong pups delivered it at a VERY reasonable price. They have tremendous fidelity and are very articulate. I would buy them again in a heartbeat

Features :
Pickup features: Single coil
Impedence or other specs: around 8,79KOhms

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Custom made mahogany thinline tele
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: The bridge pup before this one was custom handwound but I found the coil of the pup to be too small/humbck. spacing/ so It didnt quite have the sound I wanted.
Other pickups on guitar: Handwound lipstick pup
Artists using this pickup: Judging by the reviews on the NET, probably no one :)
You musical style(s):
Reason for pickup change: Stated above.Wanted more output and bite from the bridge position inn my tele.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Strong output, fairly loud, wich gives u an option of playing with the height. I'm still searching 4 the sweetspot. 8,8KOhms is pretty hot for a scoil pup.
Tone: middy and trebbly, Id have to say the bass is kinda ...tight.This pickup barks and bites, its sound is very abrasive.Could be more dimensional but for the price Id say the tone is alright.
Sonic evaluation: I'm playing a 4x12" cab and an early 70-es Orange.
As I said, the replaced pup was nice sounding but I wanted the "tele-teritory" sounding pup.
So I went with this pup.It was the only one available. If I wanted Dimarzio Id have to wait , probably , 4 a long time. And this one was twice cheaper.
I would not call this pup bassy as the previous owner stated, Id call it middy to trebly, a bit 2dimensional. I wish it was 3 dim. but u cant have it all, right, hahahahah!
It works well with overdrive but clean its just not cutting it for me when playing clean.
Since I just installed it yesterday I still have to play with it.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: its an ok match

Overall Rating : 8
Comments: If it got messed up I think Id try some other pups, like Nocaster, Vitrual T, or a Twang King but I think this pup will be just fine in my tele.I really wanted a pickup that could sting you up the arse if you wanted it to, you know.
Value-wise I think its a great deal.
This pup is like a good beggining ground. If aou have a tele you wanna mod and get a sqeal free pup .....try it!Since is not a lot of money you can always save up 4 anotthher different pup and switch back and forth 4 comparison

Tone: BALANCED A BIT Bassie"if you know what I mean"
Sonic evaluation: 15 wat mongral amp, the pickup still performed well and shoed a 100% improvement compared to the cheap nasty stock pup

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: blues

Overall Rating : 8
Comments: for the price this is a good pup it hols up well is of good constuction and it has a good chirpy tele sound , I would like a harmonic design pup in the neck, but this bridge is no pretender
it is good enough to be macthed with a quality neck pup Duncan seymoor, harmonic design etc.
