Features :
Pickup features: passive single coil
Impedence or other specs: 5.9k resistence

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Fender Telecaster
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Tele Plus stock neck - Lace product
Other pickups on guitar:
Artists using this pickup: Jason Jordan
You musical style(s): blues/rock
Reason for pickup change: Bought the guitar and wanted to get the great tone and versatility. So, TN-100 and T-150 neck and bridge with a strat chrome dome in the middle was recommended by Lace. Also, a mini-toggle to "add bridge" was wired in.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Warm and rich with superb clarity and no noise whatsoever
Tone: balanced - perfect
Sonic evaluation: USA Fender Tele Plus and a Dr Z Maz.... see my post on the T-150 for more details

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: blues and rock mainly. This pick-up is "the neck" pickup for me - perfect

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I would buy this pickup again for any Tele I may but in the future. I love the warm rich tone - it has 0% noise. I think this neck pup is as good as it gets. I've owned several Fenders - all USA models with different pickups - this is my favorite in the neck.

Pickup features: single coil, passive
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: 1983 Telecaster
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: stock
Other pickups on guitar: AGI Lace Sensor on bridge
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): Blues, Country
Reason for pickup change: I wanted to upgrade the neck pickup to get more tonal variety. Volume was not an issue.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Significant increase in output over the stock pickup
Tone: Good balance and wide range, whatever I want.
Sonic evaluation: I play my 1983 Telecaster through a 1965 Bassman head and a Mesa 12-inch extension cabinet. No special effects, reverb, or foot pedals.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play urban and country blues, and some traditional C&W, including Chet Atkins and Merle Travis stuff, and current Country. The bridge pickup works great for Buck Owens-type twang. The neck pick up alone and in combination with the bridge pickup giv

Comments: I've been playing for about 40 years and own several acoustic guitars, including a J-200, Dobro, Martins, and electrics--a Fender Precision Bass and a Strat. This Telecaster/Lace/Bassman/Mesa speaker combination is my favorite. Installing the AGI TN-100 in the neck position makes a huge difference.
Something about customer service from AGI: When Michael Ferrucci of Fine Fretted Friends installed my neck pick up, we noticed that it was weak on the outside strings, 1 and 6. I emailed AGI customer support and Michael called AGI directly. Eric at AGI emailed back some tips on setting up the pick ups (definitely get them as close to the strings as possible--these are very quiet pickups). Michael talked with Jeff Lace at AGI, who said he would wind a replacement neck pickup himself and send it to us that day. He asked us to send back the "defective" one once the new one arrived. He wanted to check out what was wrong with it. We got the new pickup two days later and it sounds great. Can't ask for better customer support than that. I'd buy AGI products again.

Pickup features: passive single coil
Impedence or other specs: see www.agi-lace.com/specs.html

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Mexi Tele
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: cheapest stock fender
Other pickups on guitar: TN-150 bridge
Artists using this pickup: don't know
You musical style(s): blues/rock
Reason for pickup change: Want tele with balls, less noise and no squeal when I use OD pedals.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: 10. Hotter and punchier
Tone: 10. Still preserves boxy chrome neck pickup sound, but is more usable on it's own.
Sonic evaluation: I play the tele thru various fender amps. For gigs a bassman head thru
a 4x10 marshall cab. With a boss blues driver and pro co rat in between.
The sound is great on its own, not like a strat neck sound, and of course
you don't really want that if have tele-itis, but playing the neck on
it's own, inspired me to play little wing and had a neat sound. I've
found stock tele neck pickups not very useful on it's own, but that's
not the case with this pickup. I haven't tried many tele replacements,
but this has got to be one of the best tele neck replacement pickups. And
it looks exactly like an original (once you peel off the "Don Lace"
sticker on it - and I'm glad it's a sticker). I don't mind the Lace
name on the bridge pickup, but it looked stupid on that little chrome
thing.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: blues/rock

Comments: Ok, about the mexi tele... I've been playing 20 years, but have always
used strats. I've been listening to Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, and
the Hellecasters and got a dose of tele-itis, so I picked up this sunburst
mexi cheap. So I'm just using this thing until I find a decent vintage style
tele for a good price. (I don't care for American Standards, the necks are
too fat for me and those saddles bug me). The reason for going off on
this tirade about the guitar is the pickups are way more expensive relative
to this guitar. However, right after installing them, the guitar did
come to life, and will be enjoyable to play until I find a cool tele
to install them in. This neck pickup was a pleasant surprise, which I
give a thumbs up, 10. Also, see my review of the bridge pickup the T-150.
