I got it previously installed in a guitar I bought. An Ibanez Prestige S2170 poplar top. Has these in the neck and bridge. Once I heard them I had to know what they were.

High output but not too over the top. Im running it straight into my Bogner Alchemist Head and matching 2x12 cab. 1 Greenback and 1 heritage 30, also running a Avatar 2x12 with Celestion G-12 100's. Tone is Massive on these pup's Low end is so thick and tight and clear... Mids and Highs sing. Very present thick clear balanced tone. Pushes my amp like the hand of God. Best pickup ive heard in a guitar. I play progressive metal/rock.

If it was destroyed or stolen I would buy another ASAP! Been playing 12 years. Nothing to hate everything to love about good tone. I have owned pickups from every manufacture known. This is it. I would like to try out Motor City Pickups The Solution just to see how insane the output would be compared to my EMG 81 and Black out's. Try these out you wont be disappointed. Buy from a small American business. I was looking at Bare Knuckles pups but this guy is local to the US.

I put these in a gibson les paul standard. installed these in the Neck and Bridge positions. Replaced Stock gibson pickups. Not sure. The stock pickups seemed muddy to me and I wanted to try something different.

These pickups are hot but not to hot. Perfect for anything from vintage rock blues to modern rock. I've run this guitar through a V-rock 100 by Voodoo amps, an orange rockerverb, and a 57 vox ac15. These pickups sound great through all of these amps. They remind me of an sh-4 jb by seymour duncan as far as how hot they are. How ever I have tried the jb's and I think they sound flat muddy and have treble spikes, where the Afwayu's are very balanced, articulate, and warm sounding.

I've been playing for over 13 years have been in tons of bands have owned tons of gear. In my humble opinion these are the best pickups I have ever put in a guitar. I've used duncans, dimarzio, prs, gibson, Emg. Very versitile Covers my style perfectly. I have 2 other pickup sets made by motor city pickups and all of them rock they are always a major improvment over the pickups being replaced. If you want to update the pickups in your guitar just go to www.motorcitypickups.com and they will hook you up with whatever you need. I talked to them and told them what guitar the pickups were going in that I wanted covers they were very very helpful and friendly to deal with. Whatever my next guitar will be I'm sure I will put some motor city pickups in it. These pickups are built with care and the best components money can buy.
