Artists using this pickup: ?
You musical style(s): Rock, blues, country, anything that involves good tone!
Reason for pickup change: The Duncan Antiquity II are really killer pickups, I was really surprised by them. I was GAS-ing to try Owen's pickups so I emailed him and told him I wanted something hot but vintage sounding for my '62 RI.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Pretty hot but not over the top, perfect really.
Tone: Totally balances and beefy, fantastic. Perfect midrange.
Sonic evaluation: My tele sounds like a monster with my 18 watter. With my Fulldrive or Burriss Boostiest I can get any tone- Stones, Petty, Robben Ford, Cropper, Page circa Zep I... The pickups respond really well to overdrive and sound killer clean. One of the best tele pickups I've ever played, right up there with Fralin and Lollar.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I love vintage tones- Neil Young, Steely Dan, Danny Gatton, Jim Campilongo, Bill Kirchen, Yardbirds, Kinks, Petty, Zep, Stones, Beatles, 50s rockabilly, you get the idea...

Comments: Been playing for about 14 years (I'm 28 at the time of this review). I gig every weekend, usually with my telecasters. I am constanty searching for telecaster related products- bridges, saddles, pickups etc... Glendale saddles come to mind (not affiliated just spreading the word). All boutique pickups seem to have their own characteristics, they are all great. OC Duff pickups have a certain clarity and beefiness that does it for me.
