Comments: I have been playing for 17 years and I have been accustomed to just buying Seymour Duncan pickups for my guitars but this time I wanted something different. I really wanted to build a Tele but I didn't want it to soung like a Tele so a Little 59 in the bridge was a no brainer, but when it came to the neck pickup that was realy hard. I wanted a really bluesy sound for my neck pickup. I am not into that really twangy tone that Tele's are known for so after a little research I narrowed it down to a Lindy Fralin or an O.C. Duff. What made the choice was the willingness to work with me over Fralin. Owen really worked with me and answered alot of my e-mails to get me exactly what I wanted. The pickup is kind of a hybrid, it is wound with strat wire and slightly underwound. When distored ot the max the pickup is still very clear, when playing blues it really sounds great, and when playing clean I have never used a better pickup. I don't know how he does it but the pickup is so clean with a perfect balance. It is not to bassy and it is not at all tinny or twangy it is just really sweet. I would by more of these pickups without a secong thought. I want ot buy a strat now just so I have a reason to buy a whole set of these pickups.
