Features
:
This is a humbucking passive pickup that came stock in the neck of my friends Peavey Rotor EX.
I have no idea what the impedance or other specs are, but I do know it's a hot pickup with a ceramic magnet.
Instrument
:
I installed this in my Squier Stratocaster. It's in the bridge position and it replaces a crappy Squier single coil. Because it's originally a neck pickup, it tends to have a lot of bass for heavy riffs. The other pickups installed on my Squier are stock singles in the mid and neck positions. I doubt any artists are using this because there are better pickups (DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, EMG, etc...)
The reason I installed this pickup is because I wanted a bridge pickup that didn't buzz like single coils do.

The output is quite high on this pickup. I am using this with a Peavey Rage 158, Digitech Whammy IV, Dunlop 535Q Wah, and a Boss DS-1. Like I said before, the tone is quite bassy, but it has a nice treble and mid response. I play metal and instrumental music (Vai, Satriani, Pantera, Paul Gilbert, etc...)
This pickup is suitable for any position, but once again, there are better pickups.

If it were destroyed or stolen, I would probably just buy a DiMarzio or something like that. I've been playing for 2 and a half years now and I own a Peavey Rage 158, Digitech Whammy IV, Dunlop 535Q Wah, and a Boss DS-1. I love the mostly bassy response with a good balance of mids and treble. This pickup can get muddy at times though. I didn't really compare it with other products because my friend just offered it to me.
I'm quite satisfied with the pickups sound. I'll use this pickup until I get a new guitar.
