Features :
Pickup features: Humbucking
Impedence or other specs: approx 15K

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Rickenbacker 350V63
Position: all positions
Pickup being replaced: Rickenbacker Toaster Tops Single coil 7.4K
Other pickups on guitar: All Toasters
Artists using this pickup: Don't know
You musical style(s): Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Reggae, Funk, R&B
Reason for pickup change: The Rick toaster sound good, and a bit weak and I hate the 60 cycle hum. I realize the single coil toaster are the epitome of the "ric" sound. All I can tell you is I am a giging musician. I purchased a 350V63 Jet Glow, because of the feel of the neck, overal tone, classic look, and something just a bit different from my 2 strats with Bill Lawrence 280s (awesome!), 2-Les Pauls with Lindy Fralins (love em!), Tele(Bill Lawrence, again awesome!!), and a 1968 ES-345 with stock Gibson humbuckers.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: The ric humbuckers are amazing! Clarity, Tone, and real output.
Tone: Very well balanced in all positions
Sonic evaluation: I am using 4 different Fender Combo Black Face amps: A Twin Reverb with EV12L's; A Super Reverb with stock CTS 10's (yuk!); a Vibrolux with Weber 10's (very sweet); and a Deluxe reverb with a single Weber 12 (my main giging amp. In addition, all my cable, plugs are from Bill Lawrence. I am using a Boss TU-2>Fulltone Clyde>Fulltone FDII>Barber Direct Drive>Fulltone fat boost>Barber Tone Press> Fulltone SupaTrem>Fulltone Choral Flange>H&K rotosphere>H&K Replex.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: The humbuckers cover any and all styles.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I was blown away when I heard the pickups in the 350. The tone was fat, woody, transparent enough to really bring out the body design and hidden tone waiting to sing out. The 350 is a thin hollow body with no F holes. I rewired the 350 so the middle pickup has its own volume control as well as added 500K pots all around..make a nice difference from the stock 250K pots. In addition, I added a 100pf cap to each volume control to maintain no treble loss at lower volumes. I have been playing for 40 years (geez). I was always intrigued by the guitar John Lennon played in the early beatle albums. I decided to buy one. I am blown away by what I am hearing especially with the humbuckers now. All I can say is that Rickenbacker has an amazing winning combination here. I will be putting a set of ric buckers on my 660-12 as well. If you are a die hard I gotta have the toasters and the 60 cycle hum, then these are not for you. However, if you are willing to hear the real potential of your ric, then check these out
