Features
:
These are single coil passive with reverse wound middle pickup
neck and middle are 5.6k and bridge is 6.3k.
Instrument
:
These were installed in all 3 positions in a 90's usa 57 reissue strat. When I got the guitar it had duncan alnico 2's and I thought the guitar sounded too bright. I believe the pups in the guitar were made for a left handed model and they had the wrong stagger for a righthanded model.
Sound
:

Output level is now what a 50's strat should be moderate with out the strong mids of an overwound pup. Play through a blackface deluxe reverb, princeton reverb, vibrolux reverb or a super reverb. They sound amazing in all my amps.
Rich deep bottom, and not overly bright on the highs. All five positions are total vintage strat spank and sparkle.
I play r&b funk, soul and blues.
Overall Rating
:
10
If lost or stolen I would definately get another set the same I have been playing for several years. (I have 3 grandchildren) I have 2 other strats a 65 customshop relic strat and a 60's reissue relic made by Relix guitars(57/62's) a nash T-52(lollar specials) and a capsule music "shyboy" 50's style tele.(tonerider)
I like these strat pickups the best but I will also leave my other guitars the way they are because they sound the way I like them. Who wants all their guitars to sound the same?
Nick at Rocketfire guitars will customwind whatever specs you want. I got exactly what I was looking for.
