Features
:
Passive Humbucker
Impedance: 6.7K neck, 8.1K bridge
Instrument
:
Guitar: Gibson Les Paul
Position: Bridge
Replacing: Gibson Mini-Humucker & Seymourized Mini-Humbucker
Reason for change: I found the Gibson pick-up to be microphonic and muddy. The Seymourized mini-humbucker was less microphonic, but didn't really sound any better than the Gibson, so I installed the Anitquity, and it made a huge difference. The Antiquity is very articulate, it's clear, has more depth and has a lot of bite. It is still a little bit microphonic, but it much better then it's two predecessors. It's easy to control.

The pick-up sounds hotter then the other two pick-ups I tried, but I think this may be becuase it is some much clearer and articulate. I would say that it makes my Les Paul sound more like an overdriven Tele.
I play mostly classic rock, but with this pick-up, the guitar lends itself well to country and pop/punk.
I have this pick-up in the bridge position, and like I said earlier, it has a lot of bite to it, it's definitly a different sound than my other humbucker equipped guitars.

I have been playing guitar for 25 years, I have been through tons of gear. This pick-up really stands out for sounding good, and totally different than what I was expecting, I would definitely buy this pick-up again.
