You musical style(s): Rock, Old School Country, New Country, Classic Rock etc...
Reason for pickup change: The Texas Special was ok, a little hot though with an overpowering midrange characteristic.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Pretty typical output, just about right for me- 7.03k
Tone: Pretty balanced with a nice top end considering is a 60s style tele pickup, of course it is bright.
Sonic evaluation: I figured this pickup would match my '62 Reissue nicely and it does. The treble can be rolled off some for some nice rockin' midrange tones with a tube screamer (Fulldrive II in my case) or whatever. I typically use boutique amps of all brands (same goes with effects pedals). I typically don't like Duncans pickups but the Antiquity line is awesome. A great all around Tele pickup.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Um, I think I answered this already.

Overall Rating : 8
Comments: There are so many aftermarket and boutique pickup manufacturers... It's hard to say if I would buy this again, I would like to try at least 5 companies that I can think of off the top of my head. I gig every weekend and I typically only use telecasters... I really don't have a reason to take this pickup out of my tele right now, it does a great job.
