Features :
Pickup features: Passive Humbucker
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Custom strat style guitar/Warmouth body and neck
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: None
Other pickups on guitar: None
Artists using this pickup: Blues Saraceno
You musical style(s): Rock
Reason for pickup change: No change.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Middle output level, not as hot as a distortion pickup but hotter than some.
Tone: Very balanced tone, slightly bassy if the tone pot is rolled off some.
Sonic evaluation: This pickup is installed in the bridge location of a custom Warmouth body, Alder with a flamed maple top, the guitar has a rock maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. I mostly run the guitar direct to a Roland V-2400CD through a Boss GT-6 effects box and a VOX wah. When playing live I run it to a Rivera Quiana, the VOX wah and a Boss delay pedal.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play mostly classic rock, some blues. This 'bucker is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to play. It can be creamy as hell, very distinct, pretty clear most of the time. It can get a little muddy if tons of distortion is used but that's not what it's for, with a moderate to slightly heavy amount of gain it shines like no other.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: If this pickup was destroyed or stolen I'd weep because then this guitar would probably have been stolen. This is my number one ax, one pickup and all. I love the tone the combination of this guitar and the trembucker gives me. Just a damn lucky shot that I picked this pick-up to install in this particular guitar.

Features :
Pickup features: passive humbucker
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Washburn NX3
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: Duncan JB
Other pickups on guitar: Duncan '59
Artists using this pickup: Blues Saraceno
You musical style(s): Rock and/or Roll!!!
Reason for pickup change: JB too bright and hot. I prefer to get overdrive from the amp rather than from the p.u.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Average output. Not overbearing at all. Not as hot as the JB.
Tone: Balanced, sweet, and "old" sounding. Warm bass response with a controlled top end.
Sonic evaluation: NX3 is basically a copy of Nuno's old N4 with a different neck and without a reverse headstock. It is extremely bright and the Floyd Rose definetely compounds the problem. The "Blues P.U." puts a lot of the bass back in the tone that the Floyd takes away. This p.u. has a very "classic" tone about it that I love. My favorite guitar tones are old VH, Slash, and Angus Young. The Blues definetely works for those kind of tones. It sings!

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play mostly rock. It's a great rock p.u. Maybe not so good for metal. I believe it's made for the bridge position only.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I'd definetly buy again. Been playing for 18 years and am very picky about tone. I play through an Egnater IE4 and Vintage 30's. I've tried a lot of p.u.'s and this is my favorit yet.
