Features :
Pickup features: Humbucking, strat replacement
Impedence or other specs: 12K

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Jap. Squier Strat
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Standard low output single coil
Other pickups on guitar: Fender strat middle, JB Jr bridge
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): Blues, Rock
Reason for pickup change: Standard pickup muddy and indistinct. Also, JB jr in bridge
was much louder than the other pickups.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Much higher than single coil, as loud as the 16K JBjr in bridge.
Tone: Warm. Huge bass response without being muddy. Good mids and highs too.
Sonic evaluation: This pickup gives the strat player a creamy LesPaul type neck sound.
Think Hiram Bullock before Cort, or Santana. There's a lot of bottom end here,
so overdrive/distortion may require some eq. Clean it sounds full, loud,
and warm. Not muddy at all.
A great attribute of this pickup is that it splits well to combine with
a single coil middle pickup. Stratlike "notch" positions can be achieved.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: None that I can think of.

Overall Rating : 9
Comments: Very pleased. It does just what I hoped it would: Give a lot more tonal
possibilities and improve over the original.

Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Standard Strat
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: stock pickup
Other pickups on guitar: stock mid and bridge
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): mostly blues I try to play everything
Reason for pickup change: whated a bigger sound

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level:
Tone: extremely fat tone
Sonic evaluation: a Stevie Ray type of sound

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable:

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I would definately buy this pickup again. I personally lovve it but it could be a little too fat for some people. You also get the power and versatility(wiring schemes) of a humbucker in a single coil.
