I had a 72 Anniversary with the Hilotrons on. I owned that guitar for about 6 years. I loved that guitar but got rid of it because the binding was cracking. I never would have done that today. I've been trying to duplicate that sound ever since. TVJones Hilotrons are even better than the originals. The original Hilotron neck pick up was perfection. TVjones duplicates that. The original Hilotron bridge was worthless. TVjones Hilotron bridge is very useful. Great sounding. Great improvement. Usually no improvement is the right move, but not here.

TV's Hilotron set is humbucking when used together. I put a little on on miniswitch just under my pickguard so I can switch the humbucking feature in and out. That way I get the humbucking feature which is excellent and I have the old time two single coil sound which is very different to my ears. Just run the wires in series and in parrallel via the on on switch. But run the ground wire from the metal cover straight to the pot and bypass the switch with that wire.
