Features
:
Humbucking, high gain pickups, measuring 10K DC at the bridge pickup
Instrument
:
Installed in the bridge position of a Carvin Bolt-T, a fairly bright guitar. It has replaced all of the previous pickups I've used so far: Lawrence L500, SD Screamin' Demon, carvin STock, and EMG81. The other pickups in the guitar are the stock Carvins which to me are OK sounding.
I can't think of any artist using these pickups but frankly speaking, everyone on a quest trying to find the "right" pickups should give these a try. The fact they are korean made shouldn't make anyone hesitate about it. These are first class pickups and I rate them as good as any US pickup out there, it's that simple. These have their own personality, just like DiMarzios and Duncans do. Closer to the Duncans maybe.

Output level is high, more than a PAF type ,it's a ceramic high power pickup. I'm using them with my marshall amps. The tone is -firstly- sky-clear (not trebly, but clear). Strong but not overpowering bass, quite present mids, they have a nice mid bump around 800Hz-1kHz which will make your notes jump out of the guitar, but in a very nice way. Treble is sufficient but not shrill. I would say 7-8-6 from bass to treble. I play mostly hard rock and heavy metal, but this pickup should suit anyone looking for a high gain pickup. One thing that makes it stand apart from the rest of high power pickups in the market, is the fact it sounds very open for being a high gain pickup, noy much compression happening... Pick attack is awesome.

I would replace them in a heartbeat. At this price point you can't go wrong, as they are every bit as good (if not better), than any SD or DiMarzio. After 2 years playing with them, I've gone SD, Dimarzio and Lawrence and when I went back to the Teslas, it just felt like home. There's nothing I hate about these pickups, because they simply kick ass.
I've tried also the VR Vintages, and they also are great pickups, sweeter and more "airy". Think SD 59' MUCH more clearer.
