Features :
Tele Single coils. Classic looks, Chromed Neck and a Black string wrapped bridge pickup.

Instrument :
Installed In a custom Pine Telecaster. One piece northern white pine body, Tru Oil finish (Gunstock oil) with Bigsby Tremolo and pickup plate. Push/pull for the tone circiut, Standard Tele with a .022 tone cap, switchable to a Bill Lawrence (Wilde USA) Q-filter tone circiut.

Sound : 9
Wired with a 4-way switch. Output was higher than standard tele pups. Tone was "Hot" a little thicker than standard, still had some twang, very clear but these to Rock a bit more than standard Tele pups.

I Adore the Tone rider Vintage plus pick ups as they are more my style (I'll write about them under their review).

These are more of a Texas Special Type pup, They are great just not for me. It took me six months before I swappped them for the Vintage plus

Overall Rating : 9
If lost I'd replace them with the "Vintage plus" Model pickups.

Features :
Output 'as below'

These pickups feature incredible build quality - it that a feature? When you see them you'll know what I mean.

Instrument :
I bought a A Squire Tele off eBay as a 'trash guitar' then put these pups in. By trash guitar I mean it gets the gigs I won't take my very expensive custom Tele to. WOW!!!! Could not believe the difference to the stock pups. I only bought these because someone said the used them after replacing Lindy Fralins and couldn't really here much difference... I can believe that.

Sound : 9
Output is lowish/medium but it's the sound that gets me. I usually use a Keeley comp so I can drive the input into a DC30 even when not compressing much. Very sweet sounding pickups even when rocking out. They this strange, but good, sweet sound for rock solos...I've never heard a tele pup do this before. Fantastic!!!

I use them in my custom tele now too. I cover just about any style you care to mention and these pups can do anything withing the range of what you'd expect a Tele to do.

The only thing I hear that they could improve on a little... is going from the bridge and middle settings (awesome) to the neck pup it's a slightly flatter sound - less punchy. Great for jazz though. I mainly use bridge and middle.

One day I'll get a custom pups made with the exact sound I want, that will get a 10. I'll give them 10 for pulling Brad Paisley tones though.

Overall Rating : 10
I play professionally and if these pups couldn't do the job they wouldn't be in my axes...period! I have to cover many styles and they go a long way to helping do that.

No 'one' pup will do it all so there's nothing I hate about these.

I chose them based on another persons review comparing them to Lindy Fralin pups. I'd like to see them make a hybrid alnico II/V pup...

Features :
Single coil passive Tele Neck and Bridge

Measures Neck: 7.07 Bridge: 8.75 Alnico III scatterwond

Instrument :
MIJ 52 Reissue Telecaster

Both Postions

NA

No idea

Wanted better tone

Sound : 9
Better than the stock pickups

Vox Pathfinder, Fender Twin Reverb

Tone is really good. Very impressed.Better mids..easy to locate the sweet spots..just need to dial tone up a hair for the middle and bridge postions and back off a hair for the neck position. Very articulate and creamy Neck has real jazz characteristics and flavor. With added gain, produces just the right amount of edge. Much improved balance and tone over the stock MIJ

Play blues and some jazz and a bit of fusion

I think these pickups would be suitable for most music. Except mteal and perhaps not as twangy for country which is expected from most telecasters

Great in both positions. Balanced. Don't have to fiddle as much between selected pickup settings.

Overall Rating : 10
I purchased these based on price and other feedback. I would buy agian since I'm please with the results. If I had unlimited $$$ I would perhaps experiment with higher end pickups. But I been convinced with some of these bargan pickups that you don't need to spent a lot.

Playing 40 years(wow I'm old) I have had many guitars over the years (wish I kept them all. I have a wonderful frankencaster that is also nails the sound I was looking for (GFS I27 vintage staggers) and a 67 Ovation Ballader

I researched these for a couple of months and figured I'd gamble on these. My early experience put me off them due to the shrill and twang. But I've with the right equipment you can get to the sound you want.

Satisfied so far. At least for this guitar.
