Features
:
These are humbucking pickups which fit into the metal Hi Lo tron cases. They are passive pickups.
Instrument
:
I put these in a Gretsch Corvette, both positions. The Hi Lo trons were useless as far as I'm concerned, plus the neck pickup was way louder than the bridge.I could have had them rewound, but I wanted to leave them stock & I thought these would be quieter too.I just popped the HiLotrons out of the case and fit these right in.

The sound totally exceeded my expectations.Very bright with high output. They really brought the guitar to life.Great response to picking, they even sound good with the tone control backed off.Everything from country twang, surf to flat out distortion blues, hard rock sounds great .The Gretsch Corvette is one of the few vintage guitars still available for under $1000,it looks & feels great -similar to an SG.These pickups compliment the guitar & make it sound as good as anything else.

If lost,I would definetely replace them.I am no longer searching for pickups -Im satisfied with these, they do exactly what I want.I played them through a Marshall,Fender, and a Pod with various pedals & they always sounded good. They look great in the guitar too - it doesn't look like they are mods or detract from the appearance.
I forget the price, but it was way less than the going rate for humbuckers.
