Instrument
:
Model of guitar or bass: 1994 MIM Stratocaster black with maple fretboard

Other pickups on guitar:
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): Blues and rock
Reason for pickup change: I wanted something with a little more bite and attack without loosing sweet tone.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Pete custom wound 10% over at the bridge. 5% on the middle and vintage winding on the neck
Tone: Man I'm just not good enough with words to describe how good this little ax sounds now.
Sonic evaluation: I use a Fender Blues Jr with a Weber Blue Dog and a set of JJ tubes. No stomp boxes or other whiz bang stuff. This set of pickups has really put me over the top on a sound/tone of my own. I've been playing sence 1958 and this is the first time I can really say that.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play mostly blues with a little rock thrown in for fun. I can get some really unique tones from this package.
Overall Rating
:
10
Comments: I have several guitars, the top three are a Gibson Les Paul gold top reissue, 1964 Gretch smoke green Double Anniversary and now this little Strat goes to the top of the play list.
I just couldn't be more satisfied. Pete does a heck of a job!
