These pickups are the most feature loaded vintage style P-90s ever.
My set came with both ceramic and alnico magnets and instructions to easily interchange them. You can really dial in the voice of these pickups. They have two wires plus the shield, so you can hook them up any way you want. The two single coils are made with reverse polarity so combination modes are hum cancelling. detailed wiring and magnet swapping instructions are included.

I Put these pickups on a highly modified 1970 Harmony Rebel. This guitar is a thin hollow body with a short scale. It is a very resonant guitar, with one thin F-hole. I wired the pickups with a 4 way telecaster switch that allows series as well as parallel configurations. I had to route the pickup slots quite a bit. Even though these are surface mount "dogear" pickups, they have a pretty big foot print. I had at first planned to use the vintage DeArmonds that came with the guitar, but their output was weak, they were noisy, the grounds could not be easily lifted for series wiring, and I figured even with all my other mods the guitar wouldn't sound much different from stock. I decided to try Vintage Vibes, and I was not dissappointed at all.

The output of these pickups is perfectly balanced between the bridge and neck. Alone, they they each have really great sound. The bridge unit is crisp and powerful, the neck is warm and buttery. Though these are single coils, they are very quiet, even at high gain. The fine acoustic sound of the guitar is faithfully reproduced. I almost always play with both pickups on, and here to me is where these pickups really out do the competition. I swear that in parallel mode, my guitar sounds like it's coming out in stereo: fabulous tone, no noise.
Wired in series, the pickups are powerful and fat, making my little guitar sound huge. In every mode these units produce stunning harmonics and transition smoothly through sustain into controlled feedback. I'm playing blues and rock through overdriven tube amplifiers, these pickups are great for both.

These are the finest replacement pickups I've tried, and I've tried 'em all. I have been restoring and hotrodding guitars for 25 years and playing for 29. I have a large arsenal of different classic axes, and not one of them is unmodified. Collectors be damned!
I put the Vintage Vibe pickups in my latest project just to try them out. I had heard that they were very good. Now I shall go back and replace the pickups in some of my other guitars also; at least one Strat and a Les Paul. If the Vintage Vibe P-90s are this good I imagine the other styles must be pretty great too.
