Replacing stock Gibson pickups

Looking for a more touch sensitive pickup with balanced tone.

Sound : 10
Output level is slightly hotter than stock Gibson pickups.
The magic in the V.V.G. P90's is that they have a more balanced, open, "vintage", sounding tone and are more touch sensitive.
You can install the provided ceramic magnets and these pickups become more explosive.
(Printed directions were included for this process)

These pickups sound good with all of my amps: Carr Rambler, Mesa Stilleto,'71 Fender Super Reverb and a Laney LC15R.
I have used the V.V.G. P90's in a recent recording session and I was pleased with how well they sit in the mix.

Pete builds very high quality product. His packaging and instructions show his attention to detail and quality.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar for 30 years. I know quality when I see and hear it. Vintage Vibe Guitar Pickups are a great value.
I plan to check out Pete's Humbuckers and Strat pickups as well.

Features :
Passive P90's, humbucker size, with ceramic magnet, impedance is set up separately for both bridge and neck.

Instrument :
Musicman silhouette HSH, where I took out the 5 way switch, disengaged the single coil, and dropped 2 of Pete's P90 humbuckers in place of the Dimarzio PAF's that were in there.

These pickups have a perfect amount of gain (alot !) and can push my otherwise clean custom made class A into distortion territory. Beautfiful warm sound, with enough edge to keep people listening.

On the neck, warm and thick, on the bridge, crisp and clear, in the middle, wonderful overtones...

Sound : 10
Output level is bang on for a vintage P90, high, but smooth. Warm sounding, not too much of anything, just the right amount of everything. I have used Gibson P90's and these blow them out of the water.

I play covers, from blues to pop to mostly R&B, and these are a great fit. They sound so good on rhythm R&B, it's scary.

Overall Rating : 10
Would buy them again. I already have Pete's PUP's in my strat, which is why I bought the P90's. As a 24 year rhythm player who has owned a few vintage pieces, I can tell you these are the real thing.

Compared to any off the shelf PUPs, these are amazing, and they are a better value. Bang for the buck, best pickups on the market right now.
