Set for my Telecaster.
Replacing Alnico II's, Texas Specials, 52 Reissues, Little 59, Quarter Pounder.
No idea who else is using it aside from the guy who wrote about these before me.
My guitar sounded dead, lifeless, toneless, soulless...The T-90s brought it back from the dead. ("from zee dead?" from better off dead)

They are hotter sounding. Not overwound, just louder. Very clear tone and they break up nicely.
I play rock music. It's not metal or hard rock and I use standard tuning. My sound is typically slightly distorted but still pretty clean. With these pickups I can just ride the volume knob and get whatever I need from there.
I've never been into a lot of distortion and I've always loved the sound of P-90's. These pickups work great for me.
On the other hand - if you are looking for pure tele tone - these are not the pickups for that. VV makes other pickups for that - these are something all together their own. You don't lose all the tele in the guitar but you lose some.
I have guitars that get that tele sound - I wanted something different for this one. It is very Les Paul Special-ish sounding. And I like that very much.

I would not only get another set if stolen - I recommend everyone to go to the Vintage Vibe site (www.vintagevibeguitars.net) The customer service is amazing - I got my pickups in 3 days. THREE DAYS PEOPLE!! I wasn't sure if they were what I wanted, and they sent me pictures and talked to me about finding what I wanted.
I thought about ordering some from harmonic design but I had heard such great things about VV and their products I thought I'd try it out and boy am I stoked on them.

Interchangeable alnico/ceramic magnet & wound to P-90 specs
Drop-in replacement for stock Tele pickups

I ordered a set to replace both the stock neck and bridge pickups in my Standard Telecaster. I don't know if anyone else is using this model, but I wanted a fatter sound from my bridge pickup, and more clarity from the neck position than the stock Mexican Fender pickups offered. With the stock pups, I was constantly rolling back the tone knob in the bridge position, the T-90 bridge PUP is full and fat sounding with a good bite. No tone knob adjustment required. The neck pickup has great punch, definition, and presence.

These pups have a higher output than the stock pups. I play mostly blues and some classic rock through a simple setup (Volume pedal, Fulltone Fulldrive, reverb pedal) into a Homebrew "Tweed Deluxe" with a 12" Jensen (Recoton)P12Q. These pickups are everything I wanted. They have a "fat" tone with great definition, and still retain some of that Tele tone as well. Definitely not the pickup for Tele "purists" (VVG makes those, too), but a terrific pickup for the style of music I play.

I will definitely buy from Pete Biltoft and Vintage Vibe Guitars again. Great communication, quick turnaround and shipping (I had my pickups within a week!) I've been playing professionally for 35 years, own several other guitars (Gibson Les Paul Standard DC,Epi Joe Pass, Sheraton II & Dot Deluxe) and amps (SF Princeton, JTM 45). These are great quality pickups. Pete offers several different cosmetic choices, and the interchangeable magnets are a nice touch.
