Features
:
This is a single coil pickup with a single blade polepiece designed for the bridge position of a Telecaster.
Instrument

Although this is designed for a Tele bridge, I installed in the neck position of a Jay Turser JT-136, which is a fully-hollow archtop. In order to install it, I had to make a wooden pickup ring that would allow the Tele pickup to fit into a humbucker hole.

Running this thing through a homebrew 18-watt EL84 amp gives me a totally authentic beefy funky old blues tone. I use this guitar a lot in a Delta-blues duo with a singer named Mississippi Millie, and the sound of it totally satisfies that ol' blues lover in me; you know, the one that loves nothing better in this world than Howlin' Wolf and Elmore James records. And I'm not the only one that feels this way, since I have gotten compliments from audience members on the authenticity of the guitar tone.
In the bridge position there is a Bill Lawrence L290TL, which is a stacked humbucking Tele bridge pickup. These two pickups make a surprisingly good combination.

This is a well-made, great looking pickup. I can't speak about it's performance in a Tele, but for what I want--a funky old blues sound in a hollowbody guitar--it's perfect. Pete Biltoft, the builder, is a great guy as well, so I recommend doing business with him.
