Features :
Pickup features: Humbucker
Impedence or other specs: ? (low)

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: A - 10 (Almost Explorer shape but smaller)
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced:
Other pickups on guitar: W 621 in neck
Artists using this pickup: nobody
You musical style(s): short hair Metal
Reason for pickup change: Factory pick-up will be replaced by Dimazzio Super Distotion if I decide to keep this gat at all.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Mud, hard to distingush notes when playing more than one note at a time(except for 2 note power chords that don't sound that good anyway)
Tone: muddy with scooped mids, slight bass boost
Sonic evaluation: I have been playing for about 10 years and have had this gat for about 4 years, in that time I have played thru, Marshall VavlveState VS-100, a really old school 80 watt Holdern Valve amp (with a boss Heavy Metal & EQ pedals & thru a JCM stright quad) and now I have a Marshall JCM 2000 & Slanted Quad. The pickup sounded the heavyest thru my old holdern rig but the amp was to unreliable. If you don't have the tone pot on full then the gat loses all presence (even with the presence turned up on the amp).

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I only play New School Metal, I only play with maximium heavy distotion, I only play in the bridge postion.

Overall Rating : 3
Comments: This pickup is sh!t, the only reason I still haven't changed it is because I still haven't decided weather or not to keep this gat. The pick up is only good for a mid scooped sound on yr amp, but doing this makes yr gat disapear in the mix, I try to play a very raw sound with my mids on full, but this pickup limits that sound. It's almost ok for palm muting but crap for all else.

Features :
Pickup features: Passive humbucker
Impedence or other specs: WTF?

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: WASHBURN BT-5
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: it was stock
Other pickups on guitar: W 621
Artists using this pickup: Hopefully nobody
You musical style(s): Metal, hardrock
Reason for pickup change: It was stock. But I am gonna change it :D

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Well, I would say medium to hot.
Tone: This pup is kindof weird. It sounds extremely fizzy without shitloads of bass.
Sonic evaluation: I'm using a Washburn BT-5 with a Laney all-tube LC-30 amp. Sounds decent with tons of bass and less mids and treble. Think "RETURN TO HANGAR" by Megadeth. Thats kindof close to the way it sounds.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play Metal. It sounds decent. It is useable, but I would change a soon as i got the money.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Comments: I've been playing for three years. I also own a CIJ Fender Stratocaster '68 reissue and a Laney LC-30. I hate the fact thats it's fizzy and can't play clean. I'm still searching for THAT sound.
I'm gonna change it soon... Or sell the guitar....
