Perceived output level: Outpul level isn't the key to these pickups
Tone: Neck p/u very warm and smooth, bridge bright, very clean.
Sonic evaluation: Use in a Deluxe Reverb/w Celestion Blue Alnico speaker, Tone stack bypass channel 1 to create a lead channel, Bendix 5992 power tubes, JAN Phillips & Mullard PreAmp tubes. I've installed the best speaker and tubes you can buy.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Blues, ABB, jazz, anything I happen to like at the time

Comments: I sent Wolfe an MP3 of Mike Bloofield live and asked him to get that sound. Man, he nailed it. I had a master luthier and classical violin player install the pickups. He said they were the best he'd ever heard. I agree. Wolfe Macleod is a master. I predict it won't be long before you won't be able to get a custome pickup wound by Wolfe. Do it now. He is a guitardom national treasure. I'd try to kill anyone who touched those pickups. They are that good and worth whatever you'd have to pay for them.
