Comments: First off, I must say the Les Paul Classic these pups were going in was bone stock when I got it. I pulled the hot ceramics out and put in some Lindy Fralin's. When I received these pups, I did it up right. Changed out the 300K pots for 500K CTS(with true readings closer to 550K), Sprague .033 cap for the bridge, and Mallory .022 for the neck. The "caretakers" are a uncovered, unpotted zebra set.
Let me tell you...after tweaking the height of the pups and individual polepieces, I was absolutely blown away!!! These are all that and some! The neck pup is very creamy with complete clarity. The bridge pup absolutely kills! These pups are very rich in harmonics, dynamics and clarity. Clean, they are a must for old Green style. Dirty...what's your flavor? They do it all!!!! Wolfe has done the amazing with these!!!
