Celestion Vintage 30's, broken in, with a different label on them......for $89 instead of the $120 that vintage 30's normally fetch.

My setup is a POD XT Live floorpedal, Samson Compressor, Carvin Power Amp, and 2 Marshall 1960 4x12 cabs. 1 cab (straight) already had Celestion label vintage 30's the second (slant cab) had celestion G12T-75's........I swapped out the G12T-75's with 4 Hellatone 60's tonight and they sounded great.........possibly better than the Celestion label vintage 30's in the other cab.........possibly due to the slanted cab.....but either way they were on par if not better sounding than my Celestion Label vintage 30's.

Straight up great deal for celestion vintage 30 speakers.
They even have the tag on the magnet that says "Celestion V30"
I dont know what they do to break these speakers in ......probably band sweeps at high volume if I had my guess...but they are super smooth sounding with a really powerful low end........My tone has lots of distortion and gain.......the Hellatones seem to reproduce thet low end palm muted chug end of the spectrum slightly better than my Stock Celestion Vintage 30's (once again could be the slanted cab......or a combination of the 2) The higher end lead parts have all the clarity and sustain as they did with the G12T-75's and then some.

This review is for the Hellatone 60 12"; 16 ohm speaker.
It is identical to a Celestion V60 except it is aged and broken in by Avatar.

Although the Vintage 30 has been accused by some users as having "icepick highs", I would say that is not the case with this hellatone. The break in process actually makes it sound smoother than a V30 I have in a 2x12 cabinet.
This speaker handles distortion shred and metal styles very well.
I placed this speaker in 1 1x12 marsahll DSL201 combo and the difference from the stock speaker is stunning.

Highly recommended. I can't see why anyone would buy a Celestion V30 when this bad boy is available for less and sounds better.
