I believe my newly acquired CyberTwin Head is a 2001 or 2002. I cannot believe the amount of options this amp has. I play in a cover band that plays everything from classic rock to dance/pop music of today. This amp covers it all. I am actually in the process of creating my own stacks and having them all lined up on the menu for easy access while playing. I do agree with another review about the FX/Reverb switch not indicating whether or not it is active. It would have been nice to have a light or something on the switch. I will be using this amp for gigs as well as practice some rehearsals. I really like the fact the you can just bring the head and plug it into the PA without causing any damage. I have the Showman 412S as well for the complete package. I plan on purchasing the Cyber Foot Controller.

I have several guitars that I use with this amp. A custom Strat with a HSS configuration that sounds absolutely awesome with this amp. I also have a couple of Epi LP's that sound great as well. With the capability to adjust the tone at so many levels, it would be hard not to find a great sound for any guitar.

Don't know, just got it and it is used. It was well taken care of by the previous owner.

I had been wanting one of these amps for some time now. I finally got one and I am glad that I did. It is like being a kid again and getting that new toy that you always wanted. You can spend a lot of time playing around with all of the different sounds that you can create. I am totally amazed by this amp.

Excellent job Fender !! It is loaded with effects / fun and tones galore.
reverbs / delays (including a fantastic stereo tape delay that is so close to an Echoplex !! ) (and I own an Echoplex).. Flanger / chorus / auto wah..on & on it goes..very very versitile amp.

I own a lot of gear and have bought sold & traded a lot of gear and one piece of gear has always remained in my list of "never get rid of" gear...the Cyber twin..+ the 410 cab.
Honestly, this amp has got so much versatility It is one of the best ever built. It's not just a modeler...it tweaks the circuits to play the amp it's sounding like (with very cool motorized knobs).
I am not sugar coating this review. This amp will rock out with the best of them. I own a JSX, a Mesa, Laney, Fender stage 100 etc and this amp is very unique in it's tones as they all are.
I still use this in the studio as it's one of the quietest amps I've ever used and the cool part is I use the Headphone stereo jack out and it records pristine audio into my console..(actually one of the best ways to get a clean signal)

I've been playing for 30+ years. I own tons of other gear..
Les Pauls (including Black Beauty..oh yea), wolfgangs, taylors, eventide...etc etc.
I love the tones of this amp..always will.
I don't hate anything about this amp.
I wish it came with the cyber foot controller..but I have one.
There's nothing that compares to this since Fender was smart in staying in their own amp field instead of trying to copy everybody else.
One of the best guitar amps to date with the best modeling of their own stuff...not everybody elses stuff..+ I hear they updated the software since I bought mine..but no problems with mine
.right on Fender !!
I would replace this if it ever disappeared.

Godin xTSA to a GT-8 to this amp out to a Marshall 1960A 4x12
This is the best combination for me....check it out. WWW.COMASBRIDE.COM
I get all these tones and sounds out of my setup
I tried a Peavey to a 2x12, Marshall JCM900 and a 800 to a 1960a. Also tied a YCV80, Vetta 2, Fender Twin Reverb.....
This Cyber Twin is pretty close to what I need to make my GT-8 sound thick and rich. All the other amps made my sound thin and gutless.
The important part of this combination is that you need a Marshall 1960A Stereo CAB.

the amp is from about 2001. it is very versatile, thanks to all the factory presets and built it effects and preamps. i've got the cyber floor controller, so it's a perfect match to this head. i think if you didn't have the controller along with the head, you'd be missing out on a lot. i've yet to gig it out, but i know if i did it would sound great. adjusting the paramaters of everything takes a little getting used to, but once you learn the ropes, it's a snap. the amp is stereo, 65watts per channel for a total of 130watts. it's solid state with a tube preamp. it sounds very tube to me. very light also.

i use mainly semi hollowbodied guitars, with covered pickups. it sounds great with these. but it also sounds just as good with solid bodied gutiars with single or open coils. the style i play is a mix of jazz, with 70's jam rock, along with modern touches like tool or murder by death. i also have jammed some drowningman, and shai hulud on this amp. it kept up well with all of it. it gets a bit noisy on the heavy effect presets, but with a built in noise gate, it takes care of it. same with the high gain channels. this amp has 85 factory custom presets, 85 presets that you can create, and 35 classic amp presets that sound like the amps they say. those in my opinion are what makes this amp so valuable. the distortion on this thing is very versatile. you can crank it up for a metal sound, or turn the gain down a bit and play something a bit lighter.

i've owned a carvin all tube head from the mid to late 80's, and a ton of rack gear. and i've played through all the expensive marshall and fender gear also. but i have to say this amp is the best i've played in a while. i like the fact that this amp has all the classic amps built into it, and that you can control everything with the cyber foot controller. i chose this over my previous set up. which consisted of a mosvalve mv962 power amp, rocktron chameleon 2000 preamp, rocktron parametric eq, korg rack tuner, and furman rack rider. this amp does everything my old rack set up did. with less than half the weight. which makes this amp extremely useful. it rules.

The features are basically endless as you can literally create your own sound using all the components (tone stack, circuitry, timbre) that have made the great amps of the past. The effects are a nice addition as most of them are done well. Havent tried out the wah yet, as I dont have a midi pedal...yet. I am working on getting the CT pedal later this month.

Yes, I will admit that most of the presets are over done with effects. But how else can you show versatility in a preset. At first I found it hard to create patches due to not really knowing the difference between a Dyna Touch 1,2,3,4 tube circuitry or a HMB 1,2,3 circuit. I found Patchwizard on the web and downloaded the excel sheet of user patches created and tweaked to taste. That really helps you get the sound you are looking for as well as teach you what tubes, timbres and such make up that sound, so you can then experiment with what a different tube circuit would do to a Metallica sound or to the clean sound you already have. Effects are done nicely as they are easy to tweak and having the three rolling knobs for adjusting just like and fx pedal is brilliant. The rest of the amp reacts exactly as a normal amp would, turn the gain up, and the gain really goes up. Not just a little bit, if you want it on 10, it drives hard on 10.

I havent had any problems with it so far. When I first tried it out for a gig (ballsy I know) with only 30 minutes to set it up...the only problem I had was connecting my Heil Talk box. Just couldnt seem to get enough juice to flow into it to drive it hard enough...but before purchasing brought it in to test it and it worked fine...so no issues there.

Have not dealt with the company yet, although the version I just bought is version 1.0 so I may go ahead and get that upgraded to 1.3. I think thats the newest one.

Got a good deal on it, couldn't pass it up at that price. I didnt get the showman cab, as I dont really need it. I plug straight into the board and once this thing is set and your happy about it, dont worry about having knobs being bumped...THEY GO BACK!!! A few things I don't like or think they could have done better...was the FX footswitch is great, but if its a light effect you have no way of telling if its on or not. There is no indication on the display whether the effect is outputting or not. Same with the Effects adjustment knobs, it's nice that they are there, but no way of knowing what knob changes what parameter unless you use it often enough. Small issues, nothing I would really 'complain' about. Overall very happy with my purchase...I finally feel like I have my own sound.
