Good drive - Love the way it breaks up. What I expect from a good tube amp. Lots of nobs and switches which is alwasys good - two channels clearn has a good equ with built in mid scoop switches and a bright as well - lead has similar scoops and bright swtiches which really lets you taylor the sound. excellent reverbe unit that can go from giving the guitar a subtle hall feel to spaced out psychedelics

Ive only ever had one problem with this amp - the fuses got dislodged and the amp wouldnt turn on - simply taking out and putting the fuses back in fixed the problem though. It was most likely caused by a bumpy car ride

George Dennis Combo with 1x12 Celestion. I know this amp is informed to deliver 30W but that aint right. This amp gives you 40-50W RMS. I noticed that the factory changed their spec in their catalogue. This is a small built but heavy combo. The weight is because of big transformers and a solid plywood chassi. All is covered in a nice blue fake skin, wich make it looks real cool and different from all other vintage looker's. The amp got 2 channel, clean and lead. the channels aint totally separated and they both uses the same tone controlls. I also got micro switches for tone presets and contour. On the backside you find a effect loop and a DI out. One nice thing is the effects blend pot that makes you able to mix in your effects easy. It also have a knob for blending reverb separately on the lead channel. What I do miss is output's for ext speaker, wich means that this little devil only have a 8ohm output. Beside this I think this amp is just as simple as most of us want it. It looks nice and looks wellbuilt. The lack of output (to cabinet) makes me draw a few points here.

This amp was tested by me almost by accident. I was going to test the Blue 60, and when I also got my hands on the Mighty mouse I decided to run a test on this one first. On the first test I used a Les Paul st and strat. Powered the amp and plugged my guitar in. WOW....I almost fell out of my chair!! The punch and tone was way out of what I expected from this amp. More I tried it........with both test guitars and some others too, this amp really turned out to be a good friend of mine. The clean channel is really a piece of art and it is good enough to compete with megabuck combos anytime. It delivers the goods even from a low volume and it keeps the tone all the way up. It sure plays loud too. It is suiteable for home- , club and studio playing. Of course you can do bigger job's too. I couldn't wait to switch on the lead channel. As so many times before I was a little dissapointed at first this time too. The lead channel seems hard to controll, and getting the right dose of OD is difficult, specally on a high output guitar like LP. The strat dealt with the lead channel in a much better way. It sounds very british I think.......fuzzy. Perfect for many kind's og nu-metal, but not very dynamic. After trying a while I could get the channel to sound OK with just a little gain, but I sure have heard better drive channels earlier. But as I said..i sounds fuzzy and if this is what you are looking for then you'll give this channel 10 alone. I never buy a amp for it's lead channel. The market is full of funny boxes that can give you a great sound. That is more difficult with clean sound. The clean sound on this amp is so good that I give this amp a 10 anyway. Some months has passed now since I first tried this little devil, and still it is one of the greatest amps I ever tried.

It seems solid made, and I also opened it to take a look on the inside. I gives me a impression og good handwork and rock solid construction. I noticed that some means that the amps have weaks, and that customer support ain't good. I think this count's for some few specally episodes and not generally. That is not my impression at all.

Been playing for 20 years, and owns more gear than I find time or space to write down here. This amp is a bargain for the price, and as I said have a cleanchannel that match all the great icons you know. It would be a big misstake not to concider this amp if you are planning to buy one in this segment. This amp is difficult to replace so if it was stolen I would buy a new one for sure. During my testing it was compared with Super reverb RI, a twin reverb RI. Mesa Boogie Nomad 55. The twin reverb have always be none of my favorites, also the super rev, but the fact is that mighty mouse deliver a greater sound from lower volumes and sounds as great as the Fenders over the hole range. Maby in a little different way but still. I said earlier that I wish it had a speaker output, I miss that.

using mainly strats. sometime les pauls, playing bluesy rock.
these things are very versitle. can get a great gamut of sounds. in the clean channel, you can get this amp to get that nice clean tone with a nice edge. getting it to break up sounds fantastic. the crunch channel, i dont turn the gain up to high, i like it low with the master volume up, but if you do like a lot of gain,, this can get some significant gain. i'm telling you for a 30 watt amp.. this thing has some balls and is loud.
i'm running two of the mighty mouse combos, they sound fantastic stereo. loud enough for any club gigs.

overall, for more of a bluesy rock kinda sound, this thing is great. if you're looking for a high gain amp, it's not here, but for the styles that i like to play, i like to have the amp where it's at the edge of breaking up, and then kick in a boost or an overdrive pedal to push it over the top. this thing, for the money, is the best bang for the buck...

Made in 2000, bought in October 2000. All-tube 30-Watt combo. Two channels, 3 ECC83s and 4 EL84s, 60W-rated Celestion speaker, vol/bass/mid/treb controls + three toggles (bright and mid-shift and one I forget) on clean channel, gain/contour/vol controls + 2 toggles (bright and mid-shift) on the drive channel, spring reverb (toggled between hi and lo), lead channel reverb sensitivity attenuator, efx loop, 120/230 power rating switch, drive and reverb footswitch, balanced DI out (but no compensation - unusable without a speaker simulator when on drive channel) ... so many and I'm sure I still forgot some of the features (I'm not sitting in front of it now). The cabinet is relatively flat (back to front I mean) to facilitate carrying, but it's very very heavy - no particle board, just heavy duty laminated wood clad in nice blue leatherette. A smaller sibling to the VA60 and other amps described here.

The clean channel is crystalline, and the lead channel distortion is buttery. It's definitely more cream than scream. I play mostly with HB-equipped axes (check out my LP Studio and The Hawk reviews) and sometimes with a Japanese Squier Strat, and from these, the combo delivers best with single coils. With humbuckers, the distortion seems too compressed so that it won't cut through the way I like even at rather high volumes. But the color of the sound is really beautiful - truly creamy. The reverb is rather noisy when maxed out, but I never use it so this is not a big bummer for me. The toggle switches make noticeable changes to the sound - but the most noticeable one is the bright switch, the others tend to be more pronounced at higher volumes only. I've had it for four months now, gigged with it both miked and unmiked, and I still haven't discovered the full potential. One thing is clear to me, though - the amp is transparent, it lets the guitar's true sound come through. When I switched between my Gibs plugged into my old Laney LC15, the differences in sound were minor, but with the Mouse, the Hawk sounded thick and massive, even muddy on the neck PU, whereas the Studio was more detailed, with more highs and better definition. But I think the guy who designed it did it all for Strats (or single coils). I take three points off - two for the hissy reverb (as I said it's not much of an issue for me but it's not good) and one for too much compression with HBs. Otherwise, it'good!

Fine so far. It's rather heavy and sturdy, it should withstand some rigors of the road. However, I will give no rating here and will come back later with an update.

I think their support is good. Originally, I was just shopping for something louder than my LC15 - Fender Pro Junior or so. But Mr. G. D. emerged from the backstage at the shop, presented his product personally and got me hooked. There's a two year warranty which I didn't need so far. The staff seemed very helpful and I trust them. I e-mailed them for info and they answered reasonably fast. The shop is in the same building as their factory so they can change tubes while you wait and so on. Rate it 10 - everything is the way it should be so far.

Been playing for 12 yrs now, have the stuff mentioned plus some overdrive, tremolo and wah pedals. If I lost it, i would probably try something more portable, this one sounds great but is heavy as hell. I don't drive so that can be a major pain in the ass sometimes. So the weight is what I hate about it. The sound is what I love - the clean channel is perfect, and with the drive channel compression - I still have to work out. Compared it with the Fender Pro Jr. and the versatility won. Definitely a good value for the money.
